General Discussion / Re: The King of Fighters XIII Video Thread

Well more assumptions from the peanut gallery. Good Night everyone :) I think I got a feel on how I'm not surprise how there could be people that still assume. You guys really made my day, and a really good one. Thank you all :)

If you want to have an easier discussion and show off your vids of your "Let's Fight" series then make a thread here: http://dreamcancel.com/forum/index.php?board=29.0.

No need, nilcam already created a thread here.

*sarcastically breathes* Ah--No. You see, I'm humored now how the internet is now in days, and it seems like it didn't really change what's so ever. How do you go from questioning and if someone responds in convenience to assure the clouds of confusion with a nice paragraph. Which wasn't ranting (I don't know why?) ends up me now leaving DC. Congrats on the misjudged people. SRK, and DC and hopefully no other have to be in my blacklist. Thanks for beer and good night!~

By the way Desmond, I understand you're the admin and any admin could banned me, but it's free game. To answer your question I want to ask a question.

If you were confused on like just now on what you have said and then suddenly seek answers. Then someone answers. It's a nice paragraph long, but are you going to insinuate that the person is offended? Angry? or anything that be related to retaliation?

Hysterically, so far out of the member here in DC made my reasons why I never go to forums that are like SRK. Let me make one thing clear, I never consider myself a pro. Many possibly do, but you know what being a pro is to cliche. Skill is irrelevant and all there is to gain in fighting games now is experience. I have that experience, and till this day I will never consider myself cliche(Pro). Keep in mind, I didn't set off this fight. You had a member to thank here for his poor illiterate judgement. Have a good day, good night, and good bye.

Can you please post not KOF related stuff in the non kof related section.

Well that was the only one I was throwing in, if you seen the last post that was discussed. A point that needs clarity and understanding. Unless, there's an issue you have with the video or what I had said is up to you. Again, I do apologize for people that were possibly antagonizing me if I was just showing some creative work from before that video. :)

Guess I will start off posting in this.

This match is between me and a friend who is relatively new to the game. From watching it I can see two major flaws. I need to work on my spacing for when its safe to throw fireballs, and also I need to stop backing myself into the corner.

I also remembered last night that Athena has a relatively safe block string where she can do s. c x psycho ball

If you could play a good keep away with Athena you're good.  Try to experiment more with her to see if she has normal combos that would work for ya. I only played alittle with her, but she does look like a good keep way chara.

In other cases for everyone that are Kim Kap fans! I've started out the first episode of Let's Fight Series showing basics and some normal combo routines he has. I hope this helps you!

It's funny because it because things like this, this is why the fighting game commute is slipping. Just to inform everyone as well.

From the video you have seen and if you possibly seen other videos, they go about certain titles like the one you seen called King of Survivals, specially made for King of Fighters itself, however if there were other fighting games that has survival in it will have it's own title. Yeah, I know I'm not like Daigo, J.Wong, and possibly "Top Tier" players that are pros. I started creating the Let's Fight series as a fighting gamer enthusiast, nuff said. I enjoy the very games just like everyone here and it's funny... 10% of the passionate gamers that are out there or possibly more are around but when it comes to the other percentage they just don't give a damn, either you're good we'll watch, if not then screw you. That's sums up correctly, not to make this a debate or anything but the subject in matter about enjoying what have been giving to us shows the very factor of our existence as fighting gamers and one person summed it up greatly to say how he thinks! May I also ask, for people that has short amount of post as I have, if we are such a competitive forum right? So you're saying that when it comes to newcomers that are interested in fighting games.... Should not be in open arms, this is why I stopped going to SRK from the last 2,3 years. Not saying I can't handle it, but it's funny how the online era completely changed everything. Hence why I work on creative videos on youtube or creative game blogs to help out others and NOT come on forums overall.

No offense, but I'm not sure why you posted that video.  It's just 15 minutes of low level play against the computer.  I encourage you to look over these forums and check out SRK's kof wiki so you can learn more about the basics.

You're just missing the concept of how the video is. It's best ask questions than just assume anything of the sort. Secondly, I could understand for you, that it may not what you would hope for. Let others decide other than just you, okay? Alot of people could make 15min videos, so what's the big deal? Also last time I check I'm not in a SRK forum... This is Dream Cancel right?

Finally okay, maybe to you it's low level just because the concept of this video which I have a video explaining what I do shows the very aspect why this video exist. None taken, again.. I just think you should ask rather than just jump to conclusion on how the video is.

Kim Kaphwan / Re: Kim Kaphwan (Console)

i was just gonna come here and post about Kims Fwd+B (nagitaki) and how you can only combo in to hangetsuzan only if u put a move in front of Nagitaki....just doing nagitaki alone wont work...anyway glad some other ppl figured this out too.

Actually, (not sure anyone mention it yet) but you could follow-up when you use Nagitaki to a Hangetsuzan but it has to be a H Hangetsuzan. I did it before and I have videos to show ya if anything.

Since the Netcode Testing thread was locked I'll post this here, not sure if anyone else has noticed this.

I did a test between myself and my brother in KOF, in the same city on Vancouver Broadband. When initially connected via my Router it showed us as having a 3 Bar Connection, which we found very strange as SSFIV always shows us as 4 Bars Green. Then I decided to go right from my Cable Modem to my PS3 and it changed to 4 Bars in KOF. The bad news is that even when it shows us as having a 4 Bar connection the game still had noticeable input lag and didn't feel any better than when it showed a 3 Bar connection. It's actually shocking how bad it is under optimal network conditions when you do side by side tests with SSFIV.

SNKP, please fix this.

Well ain't this a coincidence, the same happen for me in NY with a friend of mine. Hopefully this will all change by tomorrow!~ CAN'T WAIT :D

What's up KOF Players! I've started doing something unique for the fighting game commute which I don't call Let's Play... For all fighting games I consider be called Let's Fight. It's fighting games with it's own unique title! However as a KOF fan I did something unique as well. I will have a series of King of Survival videos pertaining to survival matches to share my gameplays with ya! I hope you enjoy them! :)

I know next level now is in Brooklyn, and I did at least want to go there to see what's new. However it's gonna be a trip for me due to I'm like... two long train rides away I think... might be more. I know about Game Over Sundays but not sure what's the deal. I would guess possibly since it was the season GOS was slowing down a bit.

However, thanks for the warm greeting so far. I just wish I knew of this sooner. Since one of my videos we're  reference on here. Which I have to thank whoever was it that threw it here for everyone!  ;)

Welcome to Dream Cancel YasakaniX, thanks for your contribution to the KOF community with your video!
Thanks!~ Apparently I tend to do more. I have my previous work on the way along with waitng about for Nest Kyo, and Mr.Karate.

I'll do videos I call King of Survivals for King of Fighters and lastly the Let's Fight series.

How's it goin everybody! Someone talked about this forum couple of days ago and I wanted to know what this was about and how good it is. I have been playing KOF for awhile from the start of '94 and on... I possibly skipped one or two maybe, not sure. Anywho, I'm gonna continue browsing through the forums but before I do... I'm thinking Arbys!! :)

More on the subject I also do gameplays of KOF XIII on youtube of offline and online. Also I created King of Survivals as part of the "Let's Fight" series... A unique title I perfer for fighting games than calling it "Let's Play".

However it's good to meet more of the fighting game commute and hope to interact more with everyone.
