Did anyone head off to Youmacon this last weekend? The Battle Opera and ensuing casuals some of us had off-screen were the most fun I've had in a long time.

QuoteSo. I have some great news. I don't have all the information just yet, but let me lay this down for you guys.

Some of you many know of the tournament in St. Martin:

There is a chance that if we finalize this. The winner of the Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition 2k12 tournament will win a trip to their tournament. In. The. Caribbean.

So not only is there a bonus pot. And then the regular prize pool. But there would also be a trip to the Video X Games.

Excited?

Oh and we happened to confirm Justin Wong. GG

So yeah. We have DMG and Justin Wong attending to play some Street Fighter. We're also holding a KoF XIII tournament with a $1k top prize!

wow, that sure is a lot of money for only top 3 payouts. i guess thats the old school way...? i dunno.
but yeah...kof and p4 tournaments...hype! you should post that in the upcoming tournaments section instead to get more traffic looking at it.

aside from that, by any chance was there any last minute kof ranbats at ignite tonight? a man can dream cant he..

Crossposting~ JWong will be missing MLG champs for this, so it's definitely a good chance to get over and play against a high profile competitor.

tournament coming up at Ignite Network at around 1pm. So most likely the FGC won't be at Nickel's this Saturday.

What timing, heh. I know my meeting is from noon to around 5 or 6.. some friends are trying to take me out to dinner, so it's looking unlikely anyways. Ah well, if anyone wants to play KoF 98/XIII via 360, gamertag is the same as the username!

Nickel City shouldn't be too hard to get up to either. I have a meeting in Rosemont and want to hit up a few games while I'm in the city on Saturday.

Social Club / Re: Where are fighters at, age-wise?

28 here.. first fighting game was Street Fighter II, at the ripe young age of 9... first started with Duck Hunt at age 4..

Most of the competitive gamers in my area are in their mid to late 20's/early 30's, so it isn't too bad.

Did they ever make one of these for XIII yet?

I still have some old ones from back in the day:

Hey, if anyone is up for local play, my XBL tag is cactusmomma. I'd love to play against some of you guys once the snow hits and there's nothing else to do in the area.
