Serious question! I get nothin but rage quitters who message me afterwards saying "Clark is for noobs" or "that full auto-guard is OP". They forgot that there is a thing called backdash in the game.

The REAL whine-babies are the ones that try to play "keep-away zone" and get me down to less than 40% with then I penetrate and stay on em to come back and win the round.

Why cry?

Belated ggs last night to DesmonDelaghetto - sorry I had to cut our session short, I had a phone call.

Last but not least, ggs to The_Rocking_Male on PSN KOF XIII. My vote for most epic finish of the year no doubt!

It ain't too late to say ggs to br0wncray0n on a quick KOF XIII session. I think th should drop K' for Shen...you are much more of a threat with Shen than you were with K'.

I know, you may like how cool K' looks and all the videos on YouTube and such but your Shen is a handful of pain!

ggs to Desmondelaghetto last night. That Billy looks pretty good.

Odd that it was laggy since we live in the same region but then again I was at a friend's place and they have only 10 mbps speed.

Is there an RSVP function here? Anyway, if you're interested in attending just inbox your name and Gamertag/PSN and that's all for pre-registry.

General Discussion / Helping or hurting?
July 06, 2011, 03:10:12 PM
With hundreds of combo videos for KOF XIII floating around on the net, what effect do you feel they will have on the game's reception?

Scrubs are a very fickle bunch these days. The moment they see a single combo video featuring a 100% damage combo they will be the first to cry out "OMGZ it's teh broken!" or "(insert character or move) is broken and needs to be nerfed!"

Do these combo videos really help build hype or are they turning people off before they even play the game?

Being a veteran of the fighting game genre for 2 decades now, I can understand that the videos are intended to display the freedom and flexibility of the fighting in the KOF XIII engine. I also understand that while the people who are performing the combos in the videos make it LOOK easy, it takes a great deal of practice and surgical execution to pull off consistently in the right situation and position while under fire in a match. A large number of fans of versus fighting games may NOT have such a discerning eye, yet they are the most vocal in the scene, screaming "nerf!"
