hakumen was strong in cs1 and solid in cs2, spark won evo using haku, about tager you're right, he was always tager tier.
balance in csex is very good, gaps between tiers are small and every char can win. I think it's most balanced game at this moment.
Hakumen was lacking in cs2, he could win but a lot of the other characters just simply had more options than him, or simply had higher damage output. Coupled with extremely slow meter gain, left constantly without any battery power to continue pressure, damage. But by no means was he was bad as his calamity trigger iteration.

If you do actually end up going I'll most likely be there as well. Post up if you actually end up going. Since there is usually a kof setup somewhere.

Well, I'll definitely have to keep Foonzo in mind.  Perhaps I will wait for slightly better weather before I start transporting my xbox around.  Thanks for the information.
Is your stick dualmodded by any chance? If it is it would make your life a lot easier, since where we play we run mostly on ps3.

Either way you can check when people are headed to foonzo here: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?11134-Montreal-Le-Thread-Generale-Pour-Weeaboo-Fighters (This is one of the main sites for the Blazblue community) We mostly gather Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays
And here: http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?threads/mtlsf-nemesis-3-jan-14th-2012-foonzo-montreal.149610/ This one is the srk thread for the SF community. I've heard some of them play KOF as well.

I hope that helps :)

EDIT: I'm looking forward to meeting you, I'm becoming very interested in learning KOF as I've been watching more and more high-level play. And it looks like it has zero-derp in its gameplay mehcanics.

Yes Foonzo is a hybrid of both a bar and a arcade business. You can bring your own stick (and system if you want). I'm unaware of the KOF Montreal community but there are some people within the Blabzlue community who play KOF casually and are interested in in harnessing their skills. You could show up today, since we'll be Foonzo later today.
Nevertheless I would advice this first time to bring your own console.

Yes it is also a place where you can buy a couple of beers and play games.

If you need to any further information text me; 514 796 2032

Hello everyone,
The Montreal Community Blazblue community would like to reach out to their fellow fighters in the States. We will be having people travel up to Montreal from New jersey and New York to attend our tournament on April 14th, which includes KOF13.

I posted a thread in the tournament subforum here: http://dreamcancel.com/forum/index.php?topic=2014.0

Hope to see you there :)

I'm guessing this place is Canada's biggest KOF community. Good stuff, Toronto is always the first to get things started when in comes to fighters.

Anyways, I just wanted to leave this here for those of you who are willing to travel to support the game you love. We in Montreal hope to see a strong attendance for KOF13 on April 14th: http://dreamcancel.com/forum/index.php?topic=2014.0

Hello everyone,
Those of us in Montreal just wanted to reach out the the KOF/SNK community since you guys are doing it big with KOF13. We in Montreal are planning to run a big one day tournament for the "anime community". And would like the KOF community in Montreal, Canada, and anywhere else to reach out to us and attend. We have few KOF players here in Montreal. And would appreciate some major SNK hype from their community, as we could support one another into the future.

Anyways here's the original post containing all the info about MAD (Montreal Air-Dashers) taking place April 14th.:)

MAD Tournament
Montreal, QC CANADA
APRIL 14th

Presented By :

Ok so here's the deal. Montreal is getting much attention in terms of anime fighters because it seems we're both godlike in terms of HYPE and level of play. awesome for us.

That is why Montreal Tamashii is proud to present the first MAD tournament! (Montreal Air-Dashers)

as the title implies we'll have only what the community describes as ''anime'' fighters. So no Marvel and no AE. Shocking, right?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION GOES HERE :

Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Montreal-Air-Dashers-April-14th/224066827681345?sk go on there and like it if you know you're coming so we can estimate how  many people we'll be having over and if we can close the venue all for ourselves! so you better be liking this facebook page :P

we are proud to host the MAD tournament at the Foonzo Cafe right in the middle of downtown Montreal.
The venue is 18+ only, legal drinking age in Quebec. why is that? Foonzo sells all kinds of drinks including alcohol. 18+ only, no exceptions.

Fees and whatnot:

Venue fee is 10$
Entry fee for each tournaments will be 10$ per person
F-Zero GX will be 5$

also, since we are hosting the tournament in a cafe/lounge, part of our agreement with the venue is that you must buy at least some of the godlike food and drinks they have to offer. GET HYPE

Guest List :

ATTENTION:
To confirm if and how many of you guys will be attending please either post up in this thread if not any further information, I will regularly check this thread, if not register at the site where this post was originally made; Dustloop.com (you CAN'T register there with a hotmail account fyi)

See you all in Montreal ;)

P.S
I'm under the assumption that this is the biggest and most widely used KOF forum, if there are other forums that you feel I should post this information in as well please inform me.
