Training Room / Re: The KOF Battle Journal
« on: December 22, 2012, 11:06:55 AM »
So, I've been out of the game for about a month-ish, due to work and only one of those days I had about 20mins free for practice time. I loaded up the game about a day or two ago and maaaaaan am I rusty, but I feel refreshed as well. Noticed that I am able to do EX Iori, Takuma, and Kyo's HD loop combos. So, I am closer to feeling confident to pull it off in a real match. I look forward to getting back into the swing of things and leveling up more.

I suppose one thing to take from this is if you feel like you've reached a plateau of sorts, maybe a break is in your best interest. Not too long though, because you don't want to forget everything (memory, muscle memory, timing, etc.)

I find it stupid how they pitted SF vs. SF and MK vs. MK.

Did they want a SF vs. MK finale? Something tells me they planned it like this from the beginning...

It does seem quite odd. Should've been a more diversified top 4. Each one from a different game. It would make things a lot more interesting...

It should've been Ken Masters vs. Scorpion. (No real reason except that I'm just a Ken Fanboy. XD)

Just wanted to let everyone know that my website is now online.
It has a Free Downloads section, if you would like some free music. And a Forthcoming section so you can preview some tracks I've sent in to get label support. The website also features information about DJ Wizdom if your curious to learn more. Just thought I'd share.

Big ups. Very GG's to BioBooster in our FT6 tonight. VERY close matches, except for maybe 2 of them. Still having a little trouble landing that Takuma combo online, but when I finally get it, our matches will be even more intense. Thanks for giving me a progress check on where I am. :)

Man...I feel like I'm sitting in a confession box or something. lol.
Here's some things I notice that I need to work on.

EX Iori: I need to get my mixup game down with him. My game with him is very solid, but without the mixups I cannot dominate like feel he can.

Takuma: The sandbag on my team. I need to get those stock/drive combos down to muscle memory. Without it, it feels like he is a dead character to me. Throwing out random DM's, sometimes NM, to be able to keep up.

Kyo: As much as I don't want to say it; I need to not use EX Orochinagi as much as I do. It's getting to the point as if I'm reliant on it. I don't want my Kyo to pull the weight of my team all the time, which happens all too often.

K': I really want to learn this guy. But he seems SO difficult. I don't know why. Maybe I haven't quite "grasped" his playstyle yet. I'm not too sure, but I will keep working on it.

As far as gameplay goes. I need to capitalize more. Too many times do I see things that need to get punished, but I'm always late on the reaction. HD mode...going into HD mode is still a little difficult, but that will come with practice; as with all things. Once I get that down. My characters will be even more deadly, and many more options will open up. I look forward to my future skill and the road to it. I recognize that I am a lot better in various aspects, than when I first started playing.

More GGs to DjWizdom, Great_Dark_Hero, and finally BioBooster for a long night of matchups. Win some, lose some, level-up, it's all good. Hope to do it again soon guys.

Definitely good games. I learned today to not let Guild Wars 2 stop me from leveling up my game. Easily got frustrated from my poor performance. Will put up more of a fight next time.

Grinding status :P

General Discussion / Re: SolidShark vs. DjWizdom FT5 (2 OCT)

I need to play SolidShark again, haven't been playing KOF XIII for a while. Too many fighters all around and since I'm a fighting game fan, I have to PLAY THEM ALL!! lol

Nice matches, but I wonder if you guys had lag or not.

The very last match in Part 3 (the tiebreaker) was the only match we had lag in. All the other matches were smooth :)

I recorded our matches. There are 3 parts to it. Part 2 & 3 are when things start to pick up a bit. When I start recovering from a deficit. Definitely GG's.

Part 1: Seizonsha51 vs ZomgItsRofl FT5 PT1 2Oct12

Part 2: Seizonsha51 vs ZomgItsRofl FT5 PT2 2Oct12

Part 3: Seizonsha51 vs ZomgItsRofl FT5 PT3 2Oct12

More GGs to DjWizdom on our FT10. Close, intense matches, and a good clinch to your win over me. I kind of like how I'm creating a monster/killer in you for this game. Hope we get to have more Bio on Sunday.

Very, very good games. Felt really good to take a FTx. Still I have a lot of work to do to, especially with Takuma. :P Hopefully, on Sunday Bio will get to experience my progress. (that Maxima though...always gets me. :P)
