I've always suspected that while SNKP is tight on giving details, when they actually do it, you know something will get done and really soon at that.

It's the complete opposite of Nintendo, who will give out details in advance but take lots of time giving out the next big detail, leaving big, agonizing gaps in between. *coughsmashbrosgamescough*

lol I feel you bro. and agreed about SNKP news policy. We really need to see if they can do a good work like ggpo, if not, why not contract them? call Mike Z.

Trick is Going Not pushing upback on accident. When you are starting an Offense I reccomend going to  down or Down Neutral or Down forward instead of down back. Because What I'm willing to bet you are doing is going down back>accidentally up back> then f+a> Shogetsu. This happens a lot of people doing Iori's hd corner combo with QCB+B> Dp+C.

If you go up at all of the DP+C you get command grab. So just practice it and practice it and you'll get it.

Hi there, thanks for the suggestion.  My problem stemmed from initiating the combo from the db position, for example when waiting for a whiffed jump-in or something, I'd be holding db and it would cancel into DM 95% of the time.  Starting from df gets rid of the problem completely, but for me at least, there will be times I have to start from a db defensive position.  Fortunately my friend told me a simple way to get rid of this problem - instead of doing cr.B, cr.A, f+A, I do cr.B, f+A, f+A.  It does the exact same damage, the range is about the same and I no longer get the accidental DM when starting from db.

Just thought I'd post this in case other people were having the same problem.  It helps a lot.  Thank you Leon!

I just to had this problem  back in 2002, after I learned how to play with sanwa stick this problem dissapeared, but I will try that cr.B f+A,f+A for confirms. thanks a lot! =)

Hey, as Iori I'm having troubles dealing with characters with long range pokes in the corner (Kula, Fireball characters, Ralf), particularly with fast standing normals. What are my options out of this type of pressure as Iori? Mainly stumped because his longest range punish is the unsafe sweep, most of my counter poke attempts are snuffed by their faster longer range stuff, and the characters I'm having troubles dealing with can stand far outside my dp range (in range to snuff most of my jump in's on reaction). I've only consistently been able to get out using meter, EX dp sometimes, or a GC roll/cd. Similar issues with King, not so much with Shen.

Hey Mr.Minionman, I've been experimenting with EX Iori quite a lot lately. I'm not really good with him but sometimes when I find myself in the corner and my opponent is in poking range, I will just throw a Far Standing D. or simply just rekka my way out of there if I don't want to spend any meter. Hope that helps

you can also wiff cancel that St.D into a rekka for a chain. St. D is going to be your best friend when it comes to footsies, try 4St.B or far C when you feel confident. if the opponent is a heavy fireball user try to rush them down.

AS | Reynald has been playing K' for a bit now and he came up with a new combo for him. It's a bit harder than the usual combos, but has full corner carry for half a drive.

j.C, st.C(1), f+A, qcb+B(x2), dp+A(1), [DC] qcf+C, f+D, run forward, qcb+K, qcb+K (whiff), dp+A = 411 dmg

You can relaunch an opponent with this drive cancel combo and carry them all the way to the corner using st.C, f+A. Again, it's a little bit more difficult than his other combos, but knowing you can run afrer dp+A, qcf+C off of Narrow Spike is good tech. Random hits can turn into really damaging launchers.

I'll try this on traning mode, I guess I have a lot to read in this thread, thank you guys.

I was reading up on the match-up against K,and I saw that she can use her cr. ;d as an anti-air...I just wondering if it's only used against certain jump-in attacks?

Yup is very useful and tricky, try to punish jumping CDs. do NOT abuse it, use it as a shenanigan.

as everyone is giving their thoughts about the evo lineup, I would say that list is just the only list that capcom and friends has, so it was expected that SFxT ver 2013 made it to take a spot.

about the troll message that they also sent out wich included the smash community I may say is the perect example of what shoryuken.com has become and why is it full of retarded gamers with all respect for those who are not.

KoFXIII is hype natured, if we can get a decent entry on EVO, the finals will take again number 1 spot just like last year.
