Training Room / Daimon cancel combo problems
« on: November 06, 2013, 08:29:39 AM »
So, according to the wiki, Daimon should be able to DC dp+K into hcf+C. I've been trying to pull this off and I seriously am having problems. I can do it in the corner sometimes (the timing's janky, you have to wait a tick before cancelling otherwise you'll whiff), but if I do it anywhere else, the opponent will go too far for hcf+C to hit. Is this only a corner thing? or am I just not figuring out how to do it? or maybe you can't do it in the Steam version?

I seriously picked the worst day not to show up to casuals, didn't I? :P

I'm also saying we should run some 98 up there sometime. Jussayin.

GGs at GNG casuals. I feel that Cal (Zero_Ishtar) and Jason (Macrobeast) are improving! Just gotta get those combos down, punish harder and create a strong mix-up flowchart.

Thanks Des. It helps having the HYPEST MAXIMA IN THE STATE. #vaporcannanigans

Also GGs to Jason as well. I feel we're pretty similar in skill right now lol, it feels hype when we match up. That raiden be scary.

I should probably mention that I'm on here now... :P

sup, I'm from the Roseville area, I try to go to casuals as often as I can, so y'all probably know me from there. I usually get a lot of matches against Unwieldy there. I'm always hunting for more games :P

Meet & Greet / hello from MN

Heyo

There's really no not-boring way to title a post like this is there.

I'm a slightly kinda new-ish player from Minnesota. I've seen this site around so I decided to hop on board.

My interest in fighting games began with MUGEN (lol... yeah) which introduced me to high-level street fighter play and interested me in Daigo Umehara and guys like that. I started with actual fighting games with Street Fighter 4... for the iOS (again... lol) then after moving to college north of the twin cities, I hooked up with the local casuals scene (for those of you from said scene, I'm the dude with the beard and wide-brimmed hat), starting by sucking really hard (I could barely do dp) and slowly started to suck less. I actually was started on playing KOF competitively by Desmond Delaghetto, who showed me how to not suck with Kyo (by doing one combo... yay), and I still bug him for tips occasionally :P I play basically any game I can, honestly, kinda focusing on KOF and Marvel recently.

In case someone cares....
SF4 - Sagat
KOFXIII - Ash, Saiki, Maxima, Kyo, EX Iori, Mature
Marvel 3 - Hulk/Dormammu/Sentinel, Trish, Doom, Skrull
CvS2 - Rugal, Iori, Sagat, Morrigan, Ken
MK - Ermac
Skullgirls - Cerebella/Valentine/Double
SF3 - Twelve, Alex, Ken
SCV - Raphael
SFxT - Ogre, Yoshimitsu, Dudley
GGXXAC+ - Faust
BBCS - Arakune, Noel, Hazama

I post that because I like to see what characters people play because I'm kinda weird :P

So yeah

helloooooo
