By the way DarkGeese, which version of SVC Chaos you are using? it seems it is PS2 and PAL, right?
Looks like PS2 after you see him go into the controls. Sure aint the xbox version for sure. I dunno if the PAL version was any diff then the NTSC one.. if there is one at all..

And I also like the fact that you still put up some videos of AvP for the Sexbox 360. How big is that community nowadays? I've been contemplating picking it up again cause I miss the old school deathmatch days of FPS's.

I'm taking a break from AVP as I played it since the demo and release date. I think I put up enough multiplayer videos of that game on youtube. I haven't checked out the community for the game since about 3 weeks. I'm just playing games on the side for fun now. But from what I remember, AVP's community is small. A majority of the players are in player matches where NO XP is gained but you can start a game much faster then the "slow match making ranked" ones that take forever to find players. I wouldn't consider AVP3 (2010) an "old school style" of FPS cause it actually differs alot from the FPS games from the  90's due to AVP3 having alot of focus on melee combat, counters, blocking and finishing moves.

Yeah I don't think you ever recorded matches with me (thank god), but you got a few of my pal RyoTheTiger lol.
I thought I did record them as I record all the matches. hmm. Odd. Or maybe we only played a few matches and never again? o_0 I remember RyotheTiger.. he closed his youtube account. I played with him a bit cause all he played on was Kawaks and not Mame.

Hey, you are that guy who posted so much SVC Chaos matches! I love them.
Yeah!

KOF XIII is more focused on EX attacks for the bars.
And welcome to Dream Cancel :)
I see. hmm. Well I need to check out more footage on that new KOF game then. The last game was clearly unfinished.. it was bare bones with almost no content in it.

@Acid - My name back on the Kaillera days was Izlude.

I do not own a Xbox360 though, so can't do any NGBC. I am tempted to get one though.
I don't seem to have any matches with you under that kaillera name.
No xbox? bah! ah well =p

Quite a unique selection of SNK games. Welcome aboard!

Maybe KOF XIII can finally get you aboard the KOF train.  ;)
We'll see. I didn't like that last KOF game cause it didn't have Takuma but I saw the new one and he's in it..
but.. things that I disliked about KOF was the grab inputs ie: F+C/D which messes up my combos at times.
And those SDM attacks that have almost no invincibility on startup so you get hit out of them by a simple punch or kick..

Welcome to DC :).  Since you mentioned playing lots, what other fighting games do you play?
I played quite a few but the ones I put alot of time into are Super SF4, Art of Fighting 2, SVC Chaos and recently getting into NGBC. I was into Killer Instinct 1 and 2 but it's not playable online that well.

Welcome to dreamcancel, were you watching a XIII video when you find this link?
No, someone left me a comment on one of my videos to check this place out for more NGBC players.

Yay AcidGlow is here.

Acid you are so OG. Those Kaillera days. AOF2, SvC.

Aww yeah. I could never beat you.
What was your kaillera name again? We should play some NGBC if you play that. Could replace SVC Chaos =p

Found this place from some dude on youtube. I played a few SNK fighters over there years. My favs are AOF2, SVC chaos and now NGBC. I do play lots of fighting games so I'm not a capcom or snk (only) player. Anyways, nice forum. I don't like KOF =p

Well when supercade was 2DF it did have it on there at first. Not sure why it got removed though. People could always do the gamesave trick to play what they want really on GGPO.
Damdai removed SVC off 2DF years ago because the rom had too many graphical glitches and he didn't know how to fix it so, removed...

I played the game for a few years on and off. Had lots of matches and it's a really fun fighter. Yeah, balance issues but when you play on the same skill level and just mess around with different characters, it's a fun game. I mained Mr Karate and Hugo. I liked how they brought back Bison's CVS2 teleport version.I hate the SF Alpha version of his teleport. Sadly, Bison is really bad in this game  but he's fun too.

I also wondered few things about Geese's Reppuken. When you are far and do it, it is a projectile, but when you are very close, it becomes "slice" like in KOF 96. Is this true or is just me?

You just throw a whiff jab and cancel right???

You have to combo into it. Best ways are Standing C or crouching B into A reppuken. Geese was really good in this game. But his NGBC version was really stripped down.. lost combo setups, changed inputs and raging storm is changed.. he just feels weaker now. Ah well.

It seems like no one ever used Ryo or Earthquake... I could've sworn Earthquake was a pretty solid character despite the huge hitbox...
Earthquake is a big target for Geese. Earthquakes fireballs are slow and his teleport move is punishable on block by Geese. And his huge hitbox is just asking for Geese players to use jumping C (multi hits).. I don't think I've seen top Earthquake players. Hard to find good footage of this game played by top players (if any exist in this game) =p

I always did wonder why Supercade and GGPO did not include this in their list of games.
As for GGPO, maybe SVC Chaos is not a game that is "highly requested" unlike Street Fighter games.

It also seemed like this version of Boxer was somewhat translated over to SFIV in terms of giving him more than just a TAP, dash punch, dash uppercut and headbutt moves... He had more moves and better options in SvC than in ST, and CvS2...
Only addition he had in SVC from ST was a launching uppercut that you can use to setup into super moves.. it's extremely too slow in SVC to use.. it's useless. and his range is really bad in SVC. ST version is better for Boxer I say. And he was faster in that game too with his special move animations.

Art of Fighting / Re: Art of Fighting Console Versions

AOF2 was the best in the series.
AOF had terrible input response and some moves were terribly delayed in animation.
AoF3.. too many juggle combos.. retarded.. hated it.
AoF2 good input response, no reliability on juggles to "win" so more on strategy.
