Ended up having to work today, so count me out.

How long until we can talk about the final boss?
What's there to talk about? He just shows up at the end with no real explanation. I would give a spoiler warning, but there is literally nothing to spoil.

The conversations are fun, but so far I have only gotten 1 per playthrough. As for edit teams in story go, maybe they felt beating story 16 times was enough?

So I just made my first playthrough of story mode. Unfortunately it's just like the arcade mode of the old games except with the occasional hi res movie scene. It's not terrible, but anyone hoping for more will be disappointed. I need more playthroughs with different teams, but I don't see it getting much better. Great game otherwise.

Don't have the game yet and heard some reports on the day one patch for it. For anyone who's played the demo and downloaded/bought the full version with the patch, is it actually faster like some have been saying?

I don't know about it being faster, but it is definitely different. Some of the combos I was using with Kyo in the demo don't work anymore which kind of pisses me off. Thankfully, there are so many awesome characters to choose from.

These are some good videos that are being posted. I would be grateful if one of you could do a Maxima combo video.

I thought I'd say this, but I'm looking forward to Maxima...
You and me both. He was one of my best characters in 13. Wonder if you can still follow up ex maxima press with ex vapor cannon and air grab after?

I definitely want in on this. Hopefully it will go better than the one I organized when 13 launched. The netplay was so bad and so many people didn't show up. But it was fun to give it a try.

Turns out I do have one gripe about the team prologues. Most of them have conversations involving at least 3 people, but they rarely indicate who is speaking. Very confusing but, aside from that, still very interesting.

Team stories seem like they have a lot of thought put into it. I'm betting that the story mode will at least be better than SFV.

I think metal is very appropriate for fast, over the top gameplay of something like guilty gear. I especially like it in Xrd when I do Sol's dragon install and the music kicks over to some hard hitting thrash for the rest of the round.

I mention killer instinct not just because it's theme is so classic, but because the music changes dynamically as the round gets more intense. More fighting games should follow killer instinct's example.

The most I can hope for in most fighting games is for the music to not drive me bonkers. 3rd Strike and MvC2 are good examples of soundtracks that are so annoying that it actually hurts my experience with them. Guilty Gear and Killer Instinct are really the only ones that have a soundtrack I really like.

Thankfully, most KOF music is either decent enough, or forgettable enough, that it's never bothered me.

Some of those combos were pretty awesome. I found the first Iori combo to be especially sick. You should go to the Iori combo thread and post the inputs. It's okay to post impractical combos there, just don't ask for those combos to be put on the wiki.

You all can do what you want of course. I still believe everything in one place is more convenient. Isn't that the point of a wiki anyway?

Anyhow, I'll get back on topic. Discovered this combo on accident. It's easy but super inefficient. Damage is 666 making it the most evil combo.

close ;c, ;fd ;a, ;b+ ;c, ;fd ;a, ;a, ;dn ;df ;fd ;a+ ;c, ;dn ;df ;fd ;df ;dn ;db ;bk ;a or ;c, ;dn ;df ;fd ;dn ;df ;fd ;b+ ;d

Again, this combo is a huge waste unless it's going to finish the match. I'm only posting it because I think 666 damage is metal as hell and no one else seems to want to contribute to this topic.

While I certainly get prioritizing optimal and/or practical combos, it doesn't mean you can't have flashy craziness in there as well. Just make sure you separate those combos from the others and note them as being such.

Those are nice looking balls. But if I was Kensou, I would be ashamed as a man to have smaller ones than Athena.
