Kula Diamond / Re: Kula Diamond (Console)

Are people having a hard time with this character or something? I just don't see too many people using Kula anymore and I haven't seen or found anything new with her in the console version. It's kinda saddening, since I'm actually a loyal Kula player.

I guess people stopped caring about EX Iori when the infinite was posted?

I'm curious if the EX Iori infinite is still in after the patch.

I was about to post that video. A quick look at the combo, I got something like:

HCF+P > DP+P (1 hit) > (DC) >214+PP > Dash Under > f+LK > j.214+KK > j.f+LKx3 > j.214D > (DC) > 214+PP > j.f+LK x5 > j.214D > HCBx2+P

Hope its right, I'm not too familiar with Athena but I've picked her up recently, and this loop is pretty awesome.

Fixed. It's possible with j.f+B as well but it's way easier doing it this way. You have to make sure most of the EX Phoenix Arrow whiffs and the kick at the end connects. It's best to short hop to get the j.f+Bs to connect.

Yeah, good shit from you guys as well. I'm actually surprised you guys didn't steal top 8 from us lol, I guess I'm just so used to beating people up here (with Kula) that I underestimated Cleveland as a whole. It's understandable if you guys can't make it up more since the Gods of Lake Erie love punishing this area.

Guess I should do my part for the Columbus crew:

Hey there guys, for anyone from the Columbus area, we have a weekly game night over at Momo's near Olentangy River Road and Ackerman Drive, the former home of Season's Beatings. Basically, Wednesday nights, starting from around 5:30 and going to midnight, and what we have there is pretty much up to what people bring. I can say as of late, we've had a good following for KOF XIII in particular, then UMvC3 after that, though a couple of others are also available for AE2012, and there's occasionally a Melee/Brawl setup for those into that too. Kid_Miracle, if you've got time when you get back you should definitely check it out.

Also GenesisDC, I've been meaning to go to a Cleveland event one of these times, Arcade Legacy kind of has a stranglehold over us, haha. Maybe I'll look into the 8th tournament if I've got time.

Wow, I love Momo's. If you're having games tomorrow I can likely make it down for KOF sometime since I don't do much during the week anyway.

I feel I should mention, we're having a tournament Jan 8th. KOF included. It's on 360.

Chin is a turnoff.

So you unless you have a command grab, you can't punish rolls on reaction with a throw? Not a huge fan of that...

Are there any plans for a KOF side tourney at Frosty Faustings? I want an excuse to watch Guilty Gear all day and possibly bang out-of-area chicks.

I may come down to that for some KOFXIII casuals, very new however, you guys ever play 98 UM?

I see you guys play AH3 as well, that's good for me.

It'd be great if you can come. We have quite a few 98 UM players, but we don't really play it too often. We actually have a pretty good number of AH3 players here lol. I play Weiss because she's my K' in that game and Saki because I like divekicks.

It's good if I want to play somebody around me, I want to try getting games in with some of my friends on XBL to test a bit more. Ranked and player matches with randoms are awful though. You can set it to lv3 connection or higher, and still get lv2s, so you have to set to lv4 for playable matches which there weren't very many of for me (it gave me lv3s anyway). I have an offline scene thankfully, but until we meet up again I'm gonna keep trying online.

I'll give this thread a little life. Me and a few others up here in Cleveland are trying to push KOF XIII for our scene. If anybody's interested you can go to http://consolecombat.net/ for details. We're out at a Fox & Hound in Parma. I hate sounding like a commercial, but we're here if anybody's in the area. We have a stream as well at http://www.twitch.tv/consolecombat. We play AE, UMvC3, and have a lot of good/known MK players like ForeverKing, PerfectLegend, and other people I don't care about but others do for some reason show up (Carl usually plays AE or UMvC3 here, not really MK). I've been wanting to get Cleveland more into the KOF scene forever and I feel like now's our chance. I wish I could go to NEC though.  :(

I forgot to mention, aside from myself we have quite a few dedicated KOF fans as well as people new to the series.
