I have good news for people in NYC. According to my sources, Chinatown Fair now has a KOF XIII cabinet.

Good news!

KOF XI is the masterpiece game that retired the old style graphics.

This is in my top 3 of favorite 2D fighters KOF 98 UM, SF 3rd Strike, KOF XI.

Knowing about some KOF XI locations would be swell.

Hmmm...from my experience with Ryo in KOF XII, a dp could be followed up by another dp as long as the opponent is hit by the first dp before their descent during a jump.

It might be different in KOF XIII tho...

Anyway, thanks for all your Ryo input =D

Thanks for the write up MP, can't wait to spam Kou'ken ^_^

I haven't been seeing it in the matches on YT but Ryo can double DragonPunch like Ryu in SFIV, especially if the first one counters.  If it does then you may be able to get more creative.

SNK Games / Re: PSN NeoGeo Station
« on: December 09, 2010, 01:49:05 AM »

This NeoGeo Station is a great new for PS3 users who like SNK games. Not because of these old titles they are going to release at the beginning, but because for 1st time, PS3 users have finally the chance to play KOFs, FFs, AoFs online (like xbox users with XBLA). I'm sure more titles will come.
Anyway, I agree with Rex about prices. they are crazy and I think they should sell all these titles in one or two packs.

This.  Plus some old schoolers will not touch the newer titles so its not just everyone hates these games and wants the newer ones, there are those that love the old classics and those that love the classics plus the new and soon to be released titles...

No sane reason to go batshit crazy over this news, you have tons of other games/fighters on other systems to play..

But its good to see some reasonable responses here on DC compared to other forums.

This is a good way to celebrate the Neo-Geo's 20th birthday.

But i'll have to agree, they should have released as bundles.

I wanted to get a PS3 for God of War 3 and the chance to play AOF/FF/SS against new players seals the deal for me.

PS: Thanks for the facebook link

Yuri-Leona-Vice vs Clark-Raiden-Ryo
Athena-Vice-Yuri vs Hwa-Iori-Vice
Mai-Athena-Kula vs Kim-Kyo-Chin
Ryo-Kyo-Maxima vs King-Robert-Leona
Robert-Shen-Clark vs Clark-Vice-Shen
Clark-Ralf-Yuri vs Vice-Kyo-Maxima
Joe-Ryo-Shen vs Duolon-Clark-Kim
K-Ryo-Vice vs Terry-Ryo-Iori
Kensou-King-Ash vs Athena-Ash-Benimaru

Nice nice variety....really liking Ratio tournaments, matches...would love to see these matches also.

krazykone, yeah i'm just seeing if there are any Arcade operators here or that know of any personally first.

I can't disclose the exact location yet but in the upper side of the East Coast.

Coin op xpress is one of the dealers I'm looking at but like i said I'm checking if anyone here has any useful information like direct experience with purchasing or knowing someone who has/does etc.

So far as far as general cabinets, these seem like a good build :

4 or 6 of these would be ideal for the fighters that we want to stock.  Again i am in need of Game kits distributors of the big titles..

I have to be a bit secretive at the request of the entrepenuer, but basically I am involved with him to setting up an Arcade on the East Coast.  Will provide more specifics as things progress.

I'm having some trouble finding coin op machine distributors, I've tried BMIGaming, and they seem really good but don't have the titles or machines that I am specifically looking for.

For quick examples, i'm looking for Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, KOF XIII, KOF 98 UM, 2k2UM, Dance Dance Revolution, Wangan Midnight 3 etc etc.

I know SSFIVAE isn't out yet, but I'd like to be able to have it asap.

Basically in this venture i want to do it right, so that means supplying the tried and true titles plus new quality titles, I want it to be THE NorthEastern US Arcade spot.  With classics and new titles in all genres.

So I'd really like some info or contact info for people from Arcade Inifinty, Arcade UFO etc if possible for tips on the Arcade business and suppliers.

Shoot if you have questions.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this thread had anything to do with it or just plain dumb luck, but I found 2 new AOF players the day after i made this thread.

One of them is "ikerrigan" =D

Online Matchmaking / Art of Fighting players on Supercade (play me in AOF!)
« on: November 11, 2010, 07:28:20 AM »
I really got into SNK and Neo Geo many years ago through the Art of Fighting just really impressed me, but i'm not going to go into all that...

So the series is still dear to me and I would love to be able to play others in the series.

Used to have GREAT matches with a player from Korea on 2DF last year or so in AOF 1 and 2.  But after 2DF became Supercade I lost contact with that player.

So this is to invite others to join me in AOF if you see me on Supercade.

AOF 1 is my favorite followed by 3, however 2 has the best cast, so I play all 3 AOF games.

Any questions/comments are also welcome here.
