Venue Fee: $10 You must pay venue if you're just playing casuals (Girls don't pay venue)

Ok, I've made the changes. I think we could also remove the dmg values for hd starters, since they might be misleading due to damage scaling.

Added an advanced version of the swag combo that deals more damage:

(4) (anywhere) s.C, df+D, [BC] s.D, dp+A, (HDC) rdp+B, [dp+C, (HDC) rdp+B, dp+A, (HDC) hcb+B (whiff)] x2, dp+C, [HDC] rdp+B, dp+A, [HDC] qcfx2+AC = 747 dmg

I think we can remove the following HD combos:

2 stock
combos #1, 2 - inefficient compared to 7.

3 stock
combos #1, 2, 3, 4, 6 - no reason to do these when you have 5 and 7

4 stock
combos #1, 4, 5 - no reason to do these when you have 2 and 6

5 stock
combo #1

Added a swag combo that works anywhere:

Also added the most damaging 4 bar HD combo that I know:

(corner) j.C, s.C, df+D, [BC] s.C, df+D, qcf+D, rdp+B, [dp+C (1), (HDC) rdp+B]x3, dp+A, (SC in air) qcb~hcf+A, qcb~qcf+A, (HDC) qcfx2+AC = 922 dmg

BTW, I think we could clean up the combo section a little bit, especially the HD combo section, it looks kind of intimidating right now. Some of the combos listed serve little purpose in which they do less damage with more meter and are not easier either.

Also, I think we could also listed relatively poor footsies game as one of Kyo's cons. Most of his buttons have relatively short reach, his fireball is grounded doesn't help either. He really is a "in your face" type of character.

Thanks, man. I guess pretty much everyone I know has a pocket mr karate, and they're more or less the same. Few people play Takuma however, and Bala's takuma is the best in the world by a long shot. Haha

Hey Jeremy, thank you very much for stepping up and taking over the brackets at summer jam and NEC. I had a great time throughout the weekend meeting everyone.

I feel like a lot of the problems we ran into were beyond our control, like the power failure at the KOF station on Saturday and spotty 4G internet for the Bifuteki stream on Sunday. Despite the hiccups, I think the event turned out fine.

I think next time it would be helpful if we could have the sign up and tournament start times clearly posted somewhere on the hallway. We could even set up a mini poster board in the hallway for communications (looking for team mates, casual sessions inquiry, etc)

Another thing that would make it easier for both players and you would be to make it possible to sign up for the tournament earlier in the weekend, that way you will have more time to set up the brackets, estimate the number of setups required, and give players some free time to go do their own thing before the tournament as opposed to be waiting around for sign ups.

Like others said, we are all here to help if you ever need it. Don't hesitate to ask.

That being said, I think we as a community could also do a better job at promoting the event. Every other community (anime, mk, capcom, 3d, smash) has at least one established streamer, we on the other hand seem to be lacking in that department, especially on the East Coast. I really appreciate Bifuteki for providing stream time for us (and for streaming Kumate lately), but I think we as a community could grow a bit faster if we could get more dedicated streams. I am personally looking into starting up a stream, I hope others do too.

NEC was fun, despite the few problems that we encountered. But in the end, I had a great time.

BTW, here is my pool match against Bala. Watch how bala downloaded me and crushed me.
