i think the game is pretty fair to zoners. once they get knocked down, then pushed to the corner its GG. KOF is very hard on mistakes , where the good combos takes little effort but do a helluva lot damage and the great combos just kill you outright.

thats why i have luv/hate for high level KOF play, its mostly trades and pokes for most of the match , and then BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMM you get hit by an hd combo and die, its so cool.

they should be rare , because in order for that link to hit you need to hit the cr B really close, any cr B not done right next to your opponent then the link will not hit. its hard to confirm so generally people go for crB,crB, stB dpC , or dpC DC into dm or sdm.

you need to watch that video with MAgo and tokido VS E.T the taiwanese player. Thats a Yuri player right there.

Totally agree with Jenny. KOF doesnt hold your hand at all, you cant just jump in the game and start playing it without going into practice mode and trying out some stuff, getting the timing down and making that combo work anytime you want it to.

If you jump in and play without practicing, your game will look sloppy and stupid and unhype. Thats exactly the opposite of what KOF is about IMHO, the combos arent that hard , with a little practice and patience anything is possible , but KOF is not just going to give it to you just because you know how to play SF or MVC well.

im a dedicated yuri player Ex saiha combos are very rare , however that doesnt mean that I dont know them or never go for them in a match. They do ridiculous damage I would be a fool not to take advantage of them given the chance. This thread list the possibilities thats all. Heck any good Yuri player will tell you her food comes from dp+k mixups, anti air sB into airthrow and her stupidly easy hd combo that can wall carry from anywhere on screen.

1 drive combos are not useless or impractical , they are there , hey have a purpose, some are obviously more likey to occur in matches than others due to the requirements of certain characters combos.

if its not hard to do, and you have the meter then i don't see the problem? If its distance to corner then , maybe it could be regarded as impractical but other than that , its all do-able.

after watching the videos posted by asians and americans , with a little practice anything is possible in KOF.

why is this thread so dead.

Been getting the hang of free-cancelling with iori. found a better combo using 2 meters and 1 drive and the corner.

IMO this is the best cornercombo so far. The 10% extra meter gain on the reynald combo is not worth the added difficulty (tho it looks sick ^^). The only "hard" part about this one is that you have to delay the dp.D a tiny bit.

Just curious, what part are you finding challenging because it's definitely a practical combo with some practice.  Are you using a shortcut for the air.dp K because it really helped me.

This is just theory, but would hcb~f+B-->hcb P work as a shortcut?

thats the first thing i tried as well it just doesnt seem to want to work. even tried it in hd mode and still nothing.
