You know, sometimes I wish KOF XI had stages that have some more life to them. The backgrounds in this game just seem very dead to me. Guess after KOF2k2, I guess I'm just expecting some cameo's in the backgrounds all the time.

Always wanted to know, but which version of Geese is in this game? Is it his regular KOF version or some FF version of him?

I have two questions about the Hyper Drive moves and canceling.

1. How exactly does it work with charge moves? Is the charge time cut in half so the move can be easily cancelable into another? Or is it still take the same amount of charge time to implement charge moves with the HD system?

2. Do the moves characters do in HD mode have the same priority as EX moves?

Dud enot for nothing, but if you want to start getting used to KOF, I suggest just playing 2k2UM and even Team Mode in KOFXI. Reason I say this is because XII will not really teach you much from a game that was completely redone in 13. 13 from what we know and seen, shares way more stuff with all the 2k2 versions and KOF XI.

Well it's not even about that. Cause yeah, characters like Goro and Maxima can use the HD combos to still combo into their NeoMaxes, but I'm talking about the huge combo linking.

I was looking at Mr. KOf's Robert and some other Takuma players and how they used the HD combo to create some long lasting combos before hitting the NeoMax moves. And with the way damage seems to scale down when combos get to long, character's like Maxima and Goro can't rely on their big damage to make up for the fact that they can't cancel and link huge combos like Kyo and Shen can.

but like I said, maybe it's just me who sees this and I should look into more videos of characters like Goro and Maxima when more become available.

Gotta ask something for you anyone who plays it and for people who only have access to videos.

Would it be fair to say that the Hyper Drive combo aspect of this game favors some characters more than others? for example, I see characters like Kyo, K and Shen Woo have some ridiculous combos using this, yet I can't see how someone like Goro, Ryo, Maxima and even Vice putting together stuff like that.

Or is it just based on what kind of characters they play as? Cause I can see how it would be more difficult for a grappler vs. someone like Kyo who just has many great things to his game.

krazykone, I'm trying to use a Mas Stick that I bought close to 4 or 5 years ago. It comes up as a Mad Catz GamePad, which I can't seem to get the drivers to work with.

Judge Fudge, I actually got a Windows partition installed on my Mac by a local comp store for $90. And yeah, add me on Xbox Live cause I would like to see how the matches would be with us being not that far away.

Let me say something about KOF98UM on Xbox Live. Yeah, it is beyond horrible but a friend of mine who lives in Florida can get 6 out of 10 really good games whenever we play. and I live in NY. I know that's still bad, but consider trying to find play people who are close to you. Same with Garou if you play that.

Speaking of Ryo and his parries, does anyone know if there has been any player who has used those parries as part of their game? I know the parries only parry one hit and you have to be super precise on when you do them, but has there been any high success players who use them?

Well, I got GGPO working on my comp but now it can't even recognize my arcade stick. Imma see if I can buy some cheapo PC stick and see if it would work.

You know, I have to ask something. I never really played KOF2000 so I never experienced Kula as a sub boss. Ever since that game, it just seems that Kula is among the top characters in every game.

My question is, was she ever toned downed as a playable character from her boss AI? Or did SNK decide to completely give control of her 2000 boss form to the players?
