Words from BigE:
"Are you READY.
Ok this is for all the Kof fans kof 13 at Nec 15 will be an FREE entry tournament.
$1000 pot bonus.
THANKS to our new sponsor:
WYSEGUY KOF SUPER FAN.
Thank you sir.

Following this exciting news, BigE, the boss behind NEC, followed suit and decided to add $250 to the pot.

Not willing to be outdone by his fellow comrades, NYC resident and super Terry fanboy “Garou Mike” decided to match BigE’s $250 to the pot bonuses, on the condition that the number of entrants exceed 62, which is double the 31 entrants at Summer Jam.

Seeing this, fellow NYC player and KOF/Fatal Fury super fanboy “Rome himself” decided to follow suit and pledged $200 to the pot if the entrants reach 62.

The news of all the pot bonuses from KOF fans quickly snowballed overnight.

Dedicated NYC based streaming group Kick, Punch, Block (KPB) whose members consist of many long-time KOF fans including “Meanestrage” and “Roddyness” decided to add $300 to the pot. KPB has been supporting the east coast KOF community consistently in the past by streaming many of the past KOF tournaments and holding qualifier events for KOF majors.

SB2, an up and coming gaming venue based on the Bronx has pledged $100. The gaming lounge, in an effort lead by Galley the Pirate, has been pushing to include KOF XIII in its tournament and weekly casuals line up.

Together with Wyseguy, BigE, Garou Mike, Rome himself, KPB, and SB2′s contribution, the total bonus pot for KOF at NEC XV will be $2,100 IF the entrants exceed 62 players.

Ever since the news of Wyseguy’s $1000 bonus pot was released, the hype surrounding KOF at NEC XV is exploding fast, many players have already confirmed their intention to attend the event. Besides the usual KOF players on the East Coast, the hype has reached players across the country and beyond. Several players from CA, TX, CO, and Scotland have already confirmed their attendance or expressed strong interest in the event.

Since KOF at NEC XV will be a free-to-enter tournament, there is no excuse not to sign up."

So if you live on the East side of the US and or have played KOF, there is literally no reason to not enter the game, so get hype & bring the skills.

Once again the time has come to bring the NE and SE together in the heart NC! Last year exceeded our wildest dreams as TFC2k13 was a huge success and we are looking to make it even better this year. With TFC being the last USA Premier qualifier for the CAPCOM PRO TOUR and the addition of Gears Of War and Pokemon x/y tournaments added to action packed FG tournament roster TFC2k14 is going to be a tournament you will not want to miss!

======

We'll be opening up registration for main tournament games on Thursday, April 14, 2014 via www.tfctournament.com

Online registration fee will be $30 for early bird. Save $20 on the door event badge fee if you pre register during the early bird special. Early bird special will run from Monday April 14th until July 1st. Once July the 2nd hits, online registration will be increased to $40 for the event badge. This will last from July 1st until Sunday September 28, 2014. For those that miss the online registration we will have Emergency on-site registration that will run on Friday October 10th 8am through 12pm. Emergency at the door registration will be $50, so if you want to save some cash please pre-register when it becomes available! Here's what you get when you pre-register

1) Very quick check-in line as opposed to a 1 hour registration time
2) Allows the organizer to create Pool assignments that will be posted days in advance of the event. This allows us to separate people by region. If you register on-site, there is a very high chance you'll play your friends!
3) Help the community and create a stress-free environment for all players and TOs. When you know when you're up, there's no waiting around! Come and go as you please, just come back when your pool starts!

NOTE: EMERGENCY REGISTRATION IS NOT GUARANTEED - WE WILL ONLY ALLOW EMERGENCY REGISTRATION AS LONG AS THERE ARE AVAILABLE SPOTS LEFT IN THE BRACKETS - THE ONLY WAY TO GUARANTEE ENTRY TO THE EVENT IS TO REGISTER ONLINE!
$20 Spectator fee. Children under the age of 12 (accompanied with parent) unless they are competing are free to spectate and elderly are also free to spectate. We will also have a lost badge fee of $20 for those that miss place your badge during the event, but you must show PROOF OF PURCHASE to receive the lost badge fee. If you can not show proof of purchase you will have to pay the full emergency door fee of $50 to regain entry to the event. If you are competing in ANY singles/teams/arcade/side tournament at FR17 you must get a competitors badge to compete, period!

We will be using the same ultra-efficient pool system we've been using across our events for the past couple years. By ensuring that around 16 or 32 (depending on the game) people are in each bracket, pools can run very fast and very efficiently. I will be doing brackets by hand again this year in order to better guarantee that people don't have to play 2 games at once. Since we're using smaller brackets, there will be more pools available to place players in, making sure you guys don't have to be in 2 places at once. Just report to your pool, stick around for 2-3 hours depending on how you play, and you're done! If you do have to play more than one game at a time, it is YOUR responsibility to tell your pool handler that you're in another game. If you go missing for 20 minutes because you were playing in another tournament, you might get DQ'd because the bracket runner doesn't know where you are.

======

The games that will be held as main tournaments are as follows:

*Ultra Street Fighter IV (Xbox 360) - $10
*Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 (Xbox 360) - $10
*BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma (PS3) - $10
*TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 (PS3) - $10
*INJUSTICE: Gods Among Us (Xbox 360) - $10
*Killer Instinct (XB1) - $10
*King of Fighters XIII (PS3) - $10
*Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate (PS3) - $10
*Soulcalibur V (PS3) - $10
*Super Smash Brothers Melee/Brawl/ProjectM (GC/Wii) - $10 per game
*Pokémon X/Y- (3ds) - $5
*Under Night In-Birth Exe Late-(ps3) - $10
=====

Addition: ALL TEAM TOURNAMENTS WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY October 10, 2014 in THE SPORTS BAR!!! So if you're interested in competing in the team events then you might want to get here on Friday. All team events will be held in the "Skybox Grill & Bar". All team events are 3v3 single elimination.
If you'd like to run a tournament for other games, feel free to do so! We have PLENTY of space!

=====

We will have a BYOC room for people to play casuals during the event that spectators can play also. We will also have a old school Arcade thanks to Tony Majors. The same guy who brought the arcade to TFC last year is packing up his gear and coming to TFC so you guys can enjoy! Here's a small list of games that will be at arcade:

Street Fighter 2 Super Turbo - on h2h Japanese cabinets
Street Fighter 3: 3rd strike - on h2h Japanese cabinets
Street Fighter Alpha 2 - on American stand up cab with Sanwa parts
Capcom VS SNK 2 - Japanese cab
Marvel VS Capcom 2 - Japanese cab
Samurai Showdow 2 - American stand up cab Japanese parts
Double Dragon and many more!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't want people to forget the origins of the FGC so having some type of link to the past is important to us and the arcade is where this community came from. Spectators can play casuals in the arcade, but if you want to enter any arcade tournaments you must have a competitors badge to do so.

=====

If you guys have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to voice them here or shoot us a PM or contact the webmaster on our website and we'll respond in a timely manner! Introducing New York's first High Stakes King of Fighters XIII tournament, this will be focused on giving drive and growth to the New York/New Jersey/neighboring states to better themselves and test themselves. It is scheduled to be held on April 19, 2014 (Saturday) so hopefully this works out for most people. The Secret Society will be providing A $250 POT BONUS for the Top 4 in KOFXIII in a 50/25/15/10 percentage payout from 1st to 4th place. PLEASE READ RULES REGARDING THE SYSTEM USED, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A PLAYER IN THE LOCAL AREA

Location:
Next Level Arcade
4013 8th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11232

Fees:
Venue: $10
Tournament Fee: $25 (Payout for the regular pot from 1st to 4th place will be 60%/20%/10%/5%)

Sign-ups and casuals will start at 2:30PM and end at 4:15PM. IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE, NOTIFY SOMEONE IN ADVANCE, THE TOURNAMENT WILL NOT BE HELD UP FOR YOU, I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE JESUS OR GOD, IF NO ONE KNOWS THEN YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE because a 3/5 tournament on top of exhibitions takes quite some time to run so you are all WARNED.

System: Playstation 3 (PS3)
Chronus devices are BANNED from this event so keep that in mind

Rules:
Double elimination, 3/5 matches the WHOLE TOURNAMENT, even Top 3 so play your hearts out and pull no punches. No white stage on stream/recording even if both players agree

Stream Details UPDATED:
Clinton "Navigator" Bowman will be streaming the event. Link will be www.twitch.tv/radioinfluencedotcom so spread the word guys

Official Side Tournament
The King of Fighters 98

System: Xbox 360

Rules:
Double elimination, 2/3 UNTIL TOP 3 which will be 3/5

Tournament Fee: $5 (70/20/10% of entry fee split for Top 3, if less than 16 players 70/30% of entry fee split for top 2, if less than 8 then winner takes all)

Also other rules we want to mention. Colluding will result in various consequences including the forfeiting of pot bonuses and game losses if pulled on stream. We know what it looks like when someone is trying an alternative strategy and when they aren't trying at all, but for the love of god, do your dirty laundry AFTER the tournament is over, NO ONE'S TIME WILL BE WASTED, INCLUDING EVERYONE who comes. Also we want to set up an exhibition of the sort (1v1 match or some sort of team event) to build the hype up!! So that's it folks, get your day off in advance now if you work a weekend job, save $3 a week starting now, do what you have to do, because if you are a KOF player, you will not want to miss this event.

NOTE: PS3's WILL BE NEEDED for this event so if you're coming bring one with you (with DLC characters as well)

Of course we are going to bring back the popular series "CURLEY MUSTACHE BATTLE ROYALE" 5v5 team Regional tournament. The hype of FR + CM is too powerful and I know there will be more regions/teams allowed this year! More details coming soon for this instant classic!

VF5US
Melty Blood
SoulCaliburV
GGXXACR
ST - in the arcade room
3S - in the arcade room

We will have a BYOC room for people to play casuals during the event that spectators can play also. We will also have a FINAL ROUND Arcade thanks to Tony Majors. The same guy who brought the arcade to TFC is packing up his gear and driving to the ATL so everyone can enjoy the old school root on which this community was built! Here's a small list of games that will be at FR17:

Street Fighter 2 Super Turbo - on h2h Japanese cabinets
Street Fighter 3: 3rd strike - on h2h Japanese cabinets
Street Fighter Alpha 2 - on American stand up cab with Sanwa parts
Capcom VS SNK 2 - Japanese cab
Marvel VS Capcom 2 - Japanese cab
Samurai Showdow 2 - American stand up cab Japanese parts
Double Dragon!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and many more. I don't want people to forget the origins of the FGC so having some type of link to the past is important to me and the arcade is where this community came from. Spectators can play casuals in the arcade.

We will have multiple streams for FR17 for those that can not attend FR17 to get a small taste of the event. We are glad to have the following streamers for FR17:

Stream #1= Team Spooky - http://www.twitch.tv/teamsp00ky
Stream #2= FunkyP - http://www.twitch.tv/funkyp
Anime = http://www.twitch.tv/sixfortyfive
Injustice/MK stream = Kombatnetwork - http://www.twitch.tv/kombatnetwork

So with FR17 less than 5 months away there will be qualifiers around the USA and the World coming soon so please stay tuned for more details as they come available. So who is ready for the Tradition that is FR17? I know I am! Also in the memory of Richard "WingZero" Warren his picture will be on the back of each badge in his honor."

Additional note: Going to try & get a 2v2 team event going for this as well since this is the biggest US KOFXIII tournament outside of EVO and maybe SoCal Regionals. Also if you guys want a Regional event or a State Vs. State event please let me know so I can plan for it WAYY in advance.
