Sorry I can't settle the debate for you on which version of KOF XIV to get. Personally, I'd go for the Premium Edition if you care about extras like artbooks or soundtracks.

SNK is aware of the netcode issues in Ranked and Free Match, looking into a patch for it.

MMCafe translated a post from Oda reporting more on a possible patch for fixing sync issues with ranked and free mode (as early as next week).

I did the entire trial mode in 2 sittings. I really wish they made them challenging. The only one that gave me troubles was Angel.

If it helps newcomers get a better feel instead of feeling overwhelmed like some felt for XIII trials, I can accept that.

Don't have the game yet and heard some reports on the day one patch for it. For anyone who's played the demo and downloaded/bought the full version with the patch, is it actually faster like some have been saying?

First off, welcome Rhombustible to DreamCancel. I think Ginorm said a lot of what I would've suggested for getting into the 3v3 format. I agree with just jumping right into 3v3, but would advise slowly trying out characters that appeal to you, one by one, after you've got at least one team you're comfortable with.

In sticking with this game, there's a good chance that you're going to have several teams, several back-up teams or just characters you like to mess around with; the more characters you know and learn, the more your team(s) dynamic will change to your benefit.

So, I think I'm going to definitely start with my XIII team, the "exotic ladies team" I suggested earlier, and slowly check out every new character, and then the veterans. I can wait to see who'll appeal to me the most.
