What I would like to know is if the patch addresses the controller issue? When I go to tournaments they generally don't allow the wireless ps3 pads so I have to use wired ps2 pads with a converter. But since this game doesn't like controllers without a home button I'm gonna have some real problems if they don't fix it.

That's just a converter issue. Lot's of converters support KoF. You need a proper ps2 to ps3 converter not just a ps2 to usb.

If you do hd combo to rekkas to qcfx2+AC to neomax, you do just as much damage as if you would not do any rekkas and just do the first normals into super to neomax. If you only do rekkas to neomax you do like 100 more damage than with no rekkas. (first hit of A and C rekkas cancelled into each other.) Doing the hcb+C followup on the C hit to save HD meter is also pointless as it doesn't do more damage either.

So C-rekka into dp, dat practice mode. My problem is I get either of the supers somewhere in the combo, but if you can react to it and just max cancel it, it's still okay.

EDIT: Just noticed Mazinkaiser's link. This shortcut REALLY helps and now I only get random shoryus instead cause I miss the timing.

And rofl at the damage reduce difference of damage for one more hit : 48 for one more hit  

You can also just do:
whatever ->df.D,qcf.D,AirEXorochi,qcf.A,hcb.K and do around 536 damage depending on your starter. This does 4 less damage than doing df.D,qcf.D,rdp.B SC EX-orochi,qcf.A,hcb.K that people seem to be doing and doesnt cost any drive.

IMO if you have 2 meters you never need to use drive as kyo. You can just do that combo in the corner or do:
whatever->df.D,qcf.D,rdp.B,ground-EXorochi for 470ish damage.

You only need to use drive for 1 meter combos or just save it for HDcombos. But that's just one possible playstyle.
