I think setting Terry up for a block string is the way to get in for damage.

Here's how I like to approach it.

j.D (blocked), d.D (blocked), df+C, qcb+D =>

If they don't low B and they're not a grappler, you got this because the d.D insures they're blocking low for most of it. From here, you can do two things.

youd have to be stupid or not know the game if you keep blocking low after the d.D. terry has no ways to hit you low after cancelling the d.D, add the fact that ;dn ;db ;bk ;d is way more frames + on block when crouching and ex version basically becomes an instant overhead, why anybody that actually knows the game would keep blocking low after the d.D, is beyond me. now if terry still had his firekick (which he should have had imo) than id understand.

Normal air Minutes Spike is really hard to combo off of by itself, EX is much easier.  ;fd ;dn ;df ;a ->  ;dn ;db ;bk ;k ->  ;dn ;db ;bk ;k will probably still be the standard wall carry HD loop. Once you get to the corner you can do  ;fd ;dn ;df ;a ->  ;dn ;df ;fd ;c ->  ;fd ;d;fd ;a ->  ;dn ;db ;bk ;k ->  ;dn ;db ;bk ;k loops, which are slightly more damaging. The cancel from  ;a Crow Bites to  ;c Trigger is also much easier to do in HD mode.

Going from that last sentence, I was experimenting with shortcuts for DP moves and found out some interesting info. I've been struggling with trying to master  ;a Crow Bites Drive Cancel to  ;c Trigger, since being able to do it consistently grants a big increase in K's corner damage. I tried out the  ;fd ;df ;dn ;db ;bk ;fd ;a shortcut a few times, but I found that while I could do it consistently outside of a combo, I have a tendency to "ride" the gate of my stick when trying to perform it quickly during a combo, so it was coming out as  ;fd ;df ;dn ;db ;bk ;db ;dn ;df ;fd ;a instead, which would result in a Super Cancel to Heat Drive when I would try to go for  ;c Trigger. I had then switched to doing it as  ;fd ;dn ;df ;a ;fd ;c , because while that technique requires much stricter timing, I found I preferred it since I would avoid accidentally cancelling to a DM.

Then I saw the video on Nico Nico Douga where a player was going through K's entire movelist and struggling with the trials where you have to cancel  ;a Crow Bites to Trigger. In one of the scrolling comments, someone listed the input for the Crow Bites as 626A, or  ;fd ;dn ;fd ;a . I went to try it and found out that it works!. This got me interested in messing around to see how else you could input a DP motion, and the results I found were pretty interesting.

In order for the game's command interpreter to register a DP motion:

1. The first input MUST be  ;fd
2. The second input can be either  ;dn or  ;db
3. The third input can be either  ;df or  ;fd

This makes the total recognizable DP motions as  ;fd ;dn ;df;fd ;dn ;fd;fd ;db ;df and  ;fd ;db ;fd .

This also explains why  ;fd ;df ;dn ;db ;bk ;fd works, as the game reads it as the  ;fd ;db ;fd input.

With this information, I was finally able to consistently perform this particular Drive Cancel easily in a combo. I even make it a little easier on myself by HOLDING  ;fd right before I want to do  ;a Crow Bites, then finishing the motion with  ;db ;fd ;a (basically like doing Zaneiken with Andy).

anybody got a tip for cancelling 2 fb motions where the second ones button is the same as said characters ;dn ;df ;fd x2 super. with shen for example i do it with a slight pause in between so a super doesn't get triggered. any easier way?

ffor corner hd combos use as many ex  ;dn ;db ;bk ;a ;c 's your dm bars allow you to do. his supers and neomax are not worth it in the corner imo.

it also seems  ;dn ;df ;fd x2 K can be followed up without max cancellling ifyou hit the first hit very high so that the geyser like energy hits them after a delay.

far  ;c and if possible far ;d (?) are also great and damaging HD starters when you have your opponent in or near the corner.

I have to admit that I don´t really understand exactly how some of the shortcuts work.

same for me. yesterday with lizzy during her trials (i finally did do 2, but don't know how, switched from analog to d-pad.)

during her othe trials i noticed that doing a ;fd ;dn ;df ;a and quickly pressing ;a again willl cancel her dp without going into super. all of a sudden after a couple trials it didn't work anymore in HD mode. i noticed that doing ;fd ;dn ;df ;a ;uf ;a did work, and after that it also stopped working. being happy with the shortcot i tried doing k's ;fd ;df ;dn ;a hold  ;fd press  ;c wasn't working either. some of these character shortcuts dont work properly or every time, i'd like to know if there's a certain criteria for it like how high you juggle or some other shit. not having all characters trials 100% is bugging me crazy.

goro is fucking beast. besides his new combos and hd set ups, hes actually for the first time ver in kof FUN to use.

and his normal non hd combos are lethal. supercancelling for easy 50% of a command grab is straight out sick.

 ;dn ;db ;bk ;b and ;b ;d are your friends. fucker grabs you from so far away almost instantaneously, ;fd ;df ;dn ;db ;bk ;b ;fd ;a ;c when they're near the corner and you grab them from almost 1/4 screen away. even further with ex dm. even worse for your enemy you can easily confirm it with  ;fd ;dn ;df ;b or ;d and super cancel that, obviously less range but deadly and safe/conserving bar.

the later you command grab after a roll, the more range it gets obviously. but from further away and cancelled quickly it basically becomes a superfast command throw that even puts AE zangief LP spd and hakans oiled command grab to shame. now if only he had ways to cancel his NM in hd mode from a command throw instead of superthrow maxcancelling he'd be pimped up for life.

Yes, Elizabeth 2 is super absurd for how little you actually need to do. Just gotta do command grab REALLY FAST and from neutral. Sometimes, DP will come out because of shortcut.

ok i fixed my vice problem (sc way 2 early). last 2 trials of her still remaining.

gonna try to fix that liz dilemma now.

haven't played kof in a couple days. last time i was struggling with that vice trial with the air super, and that elizabeth trial, this fucking hoe. i read you posted that the command throw had to be done immediately afterthe ;dn ;df ;fd K, is it really that fucking hard or is my execution really this shit?

Yes the color bug is so stupid.

My colors are getting locked back all the time. I have put a played a ton of matches with various characters and they don't have a single unlocked color. Even if I see it unlocked its locked again when I turn the game on at a later time.

c'mon guys, theres no such bug. play versus (not online) and for the first player only.
