Seattle? You're pretty fortunate then. From the Seattle players I met at Evo, I hear the Seattle KOF scene is actually pretty healthy.

Been some time since anything's been added to this thread, but I have some additions for Kim.

[KOF XIII] Kim Kaphwan 1-2 Meter + 50% Drive Combos

(c.B x 2, s.B) or cl.C also works wherever I use s.D, c.B, sB. cl.C will, of course, do more damage.

[Corner 1 meter/50% Drive. 438 Damage) Pretty sure it's about 500 if started with j.C, cl.C
s.D, c.B, s.B, qcfqcf+B, (run) qcb+D, d~u+B [DC] qcf+B (whiff), qcb+B, d~u+D, d+D

(Corner 2 meter/50% Drive. 493 Damage) About 565 if started with j.C, cl.C

Where do you live? You should try to ask around regional match-making boards on this forum or others like shoryuken.com if there are players in your area. Also, there are some KOF and Fighting Game dedicated facebook groups. Try and find one for your region. Mind you, you'd have to be willing to travel around in order to get games in. I myself generally commute anywhere from an hour or two to get to sessions, to 2-4 hours for tournaments.

2. You have a chance of hitting them with the Jump C to confirm into a regular HD combo whereas with jump CD you'd just knock them down if it hit unless it was counter hit in which case you could follow up with HD-bypass jump CD to DM max cancelled on whiff to anywhere-juggle NEOMAX for 558 damage. (4 bars)

This doesn't require EX DM in order to connect. You can use level 1 DM anywhere on the screen and the anywhere juggle NeoMAX will still connect.

Competed in ECT V.

Ran into ChrisG in winners and losers during my pool. I did not get out of my pool.

Went 2-2 in total.

Got in a lot of good matches against quite a few players, including DreamCancel's own Malik. Damn that Athena is tricky...

I just wish I could play more often, I feel that'll always be my biggest weakness.

KOF XIII for consoles has been out about a year and a half now. So then, since things seem a little slow, I thought we may as well bring up what sort of changes characters or the game's systems we think they should receive if the game received a hypothetical patch.

I'll start things off. Of course, some of these suggestions are things I just think would make the character more enjoyable.

Kula

Buffs:
-Slider Shoot command change to df+D from df+B
-Heavy Crowbites (dp+C) alter so that it will always knockdown on hit.
-cr.C startup change from 5 frames to 4 frames.
-cr.C cancelable into Slider Shoot (df+D) on hit.
-Ice Coffin adjust from 8 hits to 3 hits
-Freeze Execution Damage Buffed to (120)+(12x15)

(Fun) - Replace hard KD on Slider Shoot with small launch, able to be followed up with DPs if done as an anti-air or allowed to hit the ground with a hard KD to set up Oki.

Nerfs:
-Slider Shoot no longer combos from light attacks.

Ideas/Goals behind changes:
Freeze Execution sucks as it is currently. Made it a little bit better.
Fix Kula's DP so that cr.B s.B xx dp+C combos will never whiff
Change Kula's slide input to avoid accidental suicide via slide
Make cr.C a more respectable anti-air.
Allow Counterhit cr.C to combo into Slider Shoot in order to make cr.C potentially lead into the hard KD slide. Maybe even slide under opponents who are hit high in the air for cross unders.
Throw to empty NeoMAX Cancel does additional damage due to less scaling.
(Fun) - Allows Kula to chase down bad jumps with slider shoot, able to follow up with drive and meter into combos. Slider Shoot and cr.C are both extremely dangerous moves for Kula, nearly always punishable unless used perfectly, and I figured the risk/reward ratio should be improved for her. Also, CH cr.C could actually be quite scary when leading into a launch slide.

I don't know, a couple of them start with 1-hit confirms (if you discount the jump-in) and aren't that much better considering they add more manual timing (timing the divekick in order for db~f+B to be able to hit and timing your first dp+C DC qcf+C so that the followup dp+C DC qcf+A will hit) for about 14 more damage.

Upon finally spending some time in the lab again, it seems that Robert's crossover reset on cornered backturned opponents only works for P1, much like Mai and King's throw cross over setups.

Other than a lot of inexplicable execution errors on my end (hd combos, kim s.D link...sigh), can y'all give me some advice? I'm mostly seeing a lack of anti-airing and cracking under pressure...

Competed in Civil War V.

Came in 5th place with my Robert/Kula/Kim team, losing both times to a North Carolina player who goes by PacStrife.

Knocked DJ Huoshen out of the tournament along the way.

Once again, my lack of playtime really showed. Still, PacStrife, who had defeated me, said that my Robert was very good. Speaking of which, one player also noted that he'd seen me do things with Robert that he'd never seen before, and that he'd likely seen Robert's EX ranbu more times than ever before, hahaha.

Actually, for his HD combos, the shortcut would be 623+A/C, 6+A

The DP motion provides the d and df inputs, and then you complete the qcf by simply inputting f and punch once you do the DP.

An important thing to note is that you can only Drive Cancel on hit, unless you're in HD mode.
