Listings for 02UM updated on the Online Player Listing. You can check out your profiles.

Is it just me or was I never given an entry? I know I posted my info here and I think in the XIII thread as well (also have '98 but didn't bother posting in that thread)
I'll add it for you.

Edit:
Please check your entry, and make sure everything is correct.

Anyway you want to score is fine with me. I'm really there to play people.

Harr harr. Plinking is sf(4) lingo. Not relevant as far as i know in any snk(p) games.

Plinking is when you cause a poorly programmed system to read an input twice by hitting a second, lower priority button on the frame after you hit the first one. The practical effect is that the higher priority button takes effect on two subsequent frames, thus making it easier to link normals together.
Thanks for the explanation! I really didn't know what this was at all.

Looking forward to it growing. I'll be there for as many events as possible.

Not shortcuts but I'll post these here.

If you have trouble with doing cr.B cr.B (HD), what you can do is instead of pressing B+C together, "plink" C then B. it'll activate and then a C will come out. Be ready to cancel into whatever command normal or special is next though.

For run grabs, you can "plink" the C or D with back/forward.

The easiest way in my opinion to do a dp (DC) qcf, is to make sure you hold the "d/f" or the "3" for a split second and ride the gate while you do the qcf or 236. This lets you feel if it's going to work or not.

Whoever said plinking in KOF 13?! It doesn't have the same usage as USF4 but it definitely has applications in KOF 13 .
What is plinking?

Desmond, I played twice. I lost to The Good Loser, and then we played again right after, and I managed to win that one. I can't remember if it was 3-1 or 3-2. The Good Loser, do you remember the exact score?

Edit:
I still had the Steam group chat window open on my PC, so here's the relevant information:

6:35 PM - GreatDarkHero: The game title should show up when you highlight it.
6:35 PM - GreatDarkHero: Yes sir!
6:43 PM - The Good Loser: Vs BodyOrgan 1:3 Organ wins
6:43 PM - BodyOrgan: I want Code Mystics to redo 13's netcode.
6:43 PM - The Good Loser: :DD

I've added you to my Steam friends list. We can get some games in sometime. I prefer 13, but I'll play any of them. Just don't expect me to be any good at 98 or 2k2.

You're rubbing that in aren't you

LoL, wasn't trying too.

I personally feel like I'm in the beginner category (I frequently drop what few combos I know), although I've been putting work in lately to push myself into what I would term advanced beginner level.

I've had good luck playing people from all over the country, but oddly I've found what few people I've played on the west coast to have less lag than playing anyone in the southeast were I live.

I think this just happened to me. Oh well, as long as I can get in.

While 3 days isn't too bad it could completely kill a weekend if it happens at the start :(

72
I'll probably join too. I hope you have some USA south east coast players.

They just need to remove the system. The only real solution to rage quitters or those who lose connection due to internet woes is simply to give the quitter (via connection or rage) a loss, and a win to the other player.

Okay, maybe that's what's saving my bacon. I have only ever closed the game when frozen at the "Synchronization" screen be it in the game, at character select, etc...

I haven't confirmed this as it's only happened to me once, so this is all observation and theory. You might be able to artificially simulate the "Synchronization" screen at which point an Alt + F4 may work without banning you.

While playing a friend I accidentally hit the "Windows" key thus minimizing my game. I fully expected to have lost a character when restoring the game window, but to my surprise the game picked up from where I hit the "Windows" key. I can only guess it forced a "Synchronization" until I restored my window. Maybe when your game stops next time try hitting the "Windows" key, and then right click on the "KOF" icon in the task bar to select close (Alt + F4).

Are you leaving closing the game when the "Synchronization" screen is up?
