Oh man I really want to go to this, but I'm pretty much going to be broke by the time I buy XIII.  :(

I'll try to make it out to the next one.  Stuff was going on this weekend for me so I couldn't go last night.

Madcatz sticks does have been known to have issues like that when being used on Win7.  I don't think there's a fix for it either.

Frionel and mk just announced that Japanese SF player, RF, will be entering KOF XIII as well.  JAPANESE!!!!!  I can't wait to see who else will be entering the tournament.

It's a start, but I understand it's your first interview.  You asked about his Maxima, but I was hoping you guys would talk about the other characters he's playing.

It was great seeing all you guys again.  :)

For those of you who wish to go to Evo, I already reserved a room.  If you can make the travel to Vegas, let me know.  I'll be in Southtown on Wednesday, so hope to see everyone there again.

Not really.  There's a big parking garage across the street, from the arcade, before you hit the tunnel.

I'd go with you guys if I had the money. I may not be as good as you guys, but my hair would distract the opposition :D

The Hair, in itself, is a NeoMax.  Strongest of its kind.

I may have to get a haircut for this.  All that hair is OP.

OG 2002 is also a great KOF for practice, as it will definitely test your execution.  You have to be pretty sharp to do the more advanced combos in 2002, so if you can manage to do those, then XIII combos should feel pretty easy.

You speak of the "Sticky Method", I dunno if they still have it in XIII, I must test it out the next time I'm out in the arcade.

It works.  I actually had a problem doing a similar combo that O.Chris does: 2B 2A 6A Orochinagi

What would happen is going from 2A to 6A, I would always do the fireball instead.  Thanks for the tip, guys.  This is the first time I heard of this.

I wonder who the illustrator for the sketch is.  I already have the Mai figure, so I'm pretty curious.  :O

You get used to it, as there's only so many variations of special and super inputs.  Eventually you get to the point where you're not staring at every single number, and figuring out which direction it is.  Also, the number system is easier to type out for me, as abbreviations and notations are inconsistent from person to person.

Example: crouching D=cr. D=c.D=cD=d+D

I've seen all that posted on the same thread once.  It's pretty annoying.

That's the reality of competitive fighting games.  There are people who will run top tier and counter pick, to maximize their chances of winning a tournament;  I wish people wouldn't have to do such things, but it is what it is.  Even games that are supposedly very balanced have their share of bad matchups or some number of characters that have an edge over the rest of the roster.  I don't agree with a ratio system either, because that's just trying to get around the problem instead of dealing with it directly in some way.
