I'm guessing it's a 8 frame or so safe jump. I don't think there's anything short enough to do in order to time it so it's a legit 3 or 4 frame safe jump, like whiffing a jab or sumth. also if you hop you won't cross up.

Hit-confirming from lights is a powerful but difficult habit to get into for this game due to its speed. Against better players it can be difficult to land close cl. D's to get that sweet damage going, so it's good to learn. Good luck man, and welcome to the community!

Yeah even though i could totally find a lot of nice high bar combos with her, I feel her strength is definitely her neutral. And her cl. D xx b. B combo is definitely more damaging than some of her MAX combos... but it's important to remember Max can be used to extend off of lights.

j.D crosses up fairly well, especially on crouching opponents, I've noticed.

It's fantastic. qcb P sets up the perfect distance too. Id you hop, no cross up. not an amazing set up, but solid.

I was messing around with Xanadu in training, and it seems like f+A whiffs on crouching Xanadu no matter what. I can't get it to hit at all. It may whiff completely against some other crouching characters as well. Seems like he doesn't have a re-stand move?

So people have been finding meaty Dive kicks set-ups. After a Max Mode combo Mian typically ends her combo eith a cl. C. Cancel that cl. C into qcf D, then time a D dive kick so it hits them meaty. If done correctly you'll be plus on hit and block. you can combo a light normal after, which you normally cant do.
