As sad as this may sound, the mere fact that it isn't 2D anymore will probably lead to better sales.

On another forum someone mentioned working in retail and seeing first hand how much buyers get turned off by a game being 2D, it's like a stigma.
Yeah, I remember reading same thing, probably from the same forum too :) Kinda sad when you think about it, but it makes sense, but ever since mid 90's, 3D-graphics have been marketed as "cutting edge" and 2D is thing of the past. Kinda like in movies, where CGI is the next best thing and practical effects are so lame. Although practical effects are slowly making comeback it seems.

I disagree with the  aspect of 2D being old or of the past. The current Guilty Gear looks better than the 3D fighters. I think its really lazy for SNK to go 3D for KOF XIV and the excuse as to why, is even worse. On the other hand,  I dont understand how SNK pachinko games have better 3D graphics than KOF XIV.

Does anyone know if any of the characters have been balanced? Desmond said King of Dinosaurs was too slow. Ive also heard  Ryos f+a (?) into maxmode, into combo takes off way too much damage.

that is Gung-Li's (Kim's master) wife, if you mean Luong. Tho it is said that he's a Manlet and a cuck, leaving Luong kind of wanting lol

Ohh I thought that was Kims wife! no need to fight for justice then.

I heard a while back that if you pre order the Japanese version of the game it comes with a stick? Is this true?

I hear hes so powerful in every game and every vid I see its of him getting beat so I cant see how his tools are being utilized. Any know of any famous Yamazaki players or vids?

if she throws a mirror image from long range? Do they still have priority? Can I hit the image with a faster move if shes played as a turtle (far screen scenario)?

Any one have any basic strats regarding ramon?

Anyone have any vids of him or know any famous players I could look up on youtube?

Also, can anyone tell me how to do his d/f+B cancel combos? I do not understand the timing. HE keeps walking back and fourth instead of stopping. Anything will be helpful. Thanks!

Joe after EX golden heel linked a dA, into sB or so it looked like. Could be a new chain combo, a link combo, or it could be dA, f+B. Joe looks promising in his gameplay and really solid.




This isnt new, Joe could do this in 97. After  s.C, F+b, hcf+A you can run in and go for another combo during the hit animation of hcf+A Golden heel/Tornado. It stunned them that you can run in and add extra hits or even do another combo. Very small window but was possible.  Works with dp+b as well.


I hope hes more like classic joe and not XIII Joe. I really hate XIII

Looks like Joe is a mix of 97, 98 and 13

His standard block string/mixup/combo = start s.c, f+b into goldenheel, slash kick (take your pick) looks like has wo kicks after it or the animation has changed.


Looks like after golden heel on standing opponent you can dash and get in another combos afterwards like you did in 97. Joe had crazy combos in 97 after projectile or golden heel hit. I hope this is true...my Nelson, King, Joe Dirty BAXING (boxing in NYC accent) TEAM! would be complete.
