HOOOOOOLY CRAP, AI, NICE VIDS!!!!!!
Kane is STILL the best Chin in the US (Haven't heard that in a while so I thought I'd resurface it)
BTW, I didn't take the time to see who was playing Yuri but PROPS to whoever it was because that NeoMax finish was SIIIIIICK!!!!!!
Another thing, I've made it over to San Fran a couple times now and will be going again tomorrow. It can be hard to get out there without a license lol
Hopefully SFSU will be having some play worthy of video soon. I actually didn't wanna post here empty-handed but I just HAD to comment on the AI vids
So freaking sad to hear about AI... The owner is so nice and I hope the best for his future endeavors

I actually spoke with the manager of Sunnyvale GolfLand a while ago and he said that it wouldn't be worth the investment to get it... Yet they go out and get BB:CS and SSFIV:AE right as they drop... I personally think that more niche KoF players would come out of the woodwork to play XIII than BB and SF fans would go out to play those games. ( I for one would go at LEAST five days a week )

« on: January 26, 2011, 07:16:59 PM »For me is surprising no one use NeoMAX at all. Sometimes you see some in newbie videos or at the end of some combo, but that's all. In SFIV ultras are more used than neomax in KOF XIII, I think...
I guess people prefer to keep power stocks to enter a HD combo which can take more damage than a NeoMax... But neomaxes are a nice tool to do good amount of damage too, instead of trying enter a combo by jump > low light punch/kick again and again and again.
Something you should keep in mind is that in SFIV there is an entirely different meter devoted ONLY to Ultra-ing. If you DON'T Ultra then you really are just wasting your time. In KoFXIII, a NeoMax is taken from the same meter as everything else (INCLUDING the HD bar). It shouldn't be too too much a surprise that NeoMaxes are rare as hell!!
I think SNK did a good job because when a NeoMax does indeed get busted out it is REEEEALLY special-feeling.

I wanted a team of Kyo / Ryo / Terry at first, but when I realized that it was the Legends team or w/e and other people picked that team too, I wanted to make a change. I have learned a few characters but what I found in my travels is that I am a Vice player so I now have a team of Kyo / Vice / Terry. It's funny though, because when I get to play XIII on a regular basis it might change again!!
