Raiden and Air Throw Combo Enders

I found something interesting while practicing my Mai safe jump setup. When doing an air throw ender on Raiden, he doesn't get a knockdown sound cue, nor does he get hard knockdown it's not even soft knockdown he just gets right back up so he can't be safe jumped what so ever from this ender. Now for any other chars with air throw combo enders can you guys test it and post your findings I want to know if it's just Mai or every character.

I've only ever fought one Raiden on console, and he kept connecting that air throw no matter how I knocked him down. It was pretty unbelievable. This was after Terry's normal throw, as well as his cr.D (no recovery roll).

So yeah, I think you might be on to something.

Yeah I'm glad I tested it before I fought a real Raiden, I wonder if this is akin too his rise speed. It doesn't happen to Benimaru or Yuri's air throw they still get the knock down sound cue, but he rises too fast so a safe jump won't work so that maybe just his rise speed, but the Mai Shiranui air throw situation is different I mean no knockdown sound, it's more like he landed on pillows.

Well I found this out a bit too late , but the phenomenon is height dependent.
