Yo, been playing KoF on and off for awhile, mostly '02 (both vanilla and UM,) 11, and now 13. Don't have an xbox to play 13 atm because I had to sell it a few months back for cash (though this didn't stop me from preording KoFXIII anyways.) Finally made the switch to stick back in November (Hori Fightstick VX, have some seimetsu buttons en route I plan to put in.) Been getting more serious about playing fighters, and KoFXIII has really delivered for me, personally. So, that's why I'm here.

Since I don't actually have a console, I stream monster a lot when I'm not doing GGPO, been looking around for KoF streams but they seem few and far between. Southtown Arcade's and this Alaskagamers (they're doing KoF tonight, btw) stream are the only ones I know of.

Haven't picked a staple team for KoF13 yet, but like playing:

Leona (fav, almost always a staple)
Beni
Elizabeth (probably second most common)
King
Maxima
Hwa

If only Yamazaki were in the game!

Welcome to DC :)

Looks like you have some good picks there. Of the ones you don't have already planned for you team, I think these three really shine:

Beni - invincible super, good anti air, air throw, cmd throw, normal throw that can be followed up in corner, easy crossups
King - great zoning, great low confirms and cancellable slide
Hwa - great recovery, easy execution, cmd throw super, superb air game

Respect the fact you picked up the game without even having the console d(^w^)b

Had to get that preorder bonus!

Hasn't been all bad, friend's have 360s and I've tied my account to a mem card. When I can afford to visit them, I play. Tend to leave the game at their place to encourage them practicing while I'm not around. It's always helped for me to just fight flat out tougher people as far as learning goes so part of me usually hopes they bother to get really good at it while I'm not around so I'm forced to learn if I'm gonna win.

Haha, we think alike - would have done the same for the bonus.

Yeah, def good to have offline players to toughen up with. Wish I had access to some kind of regular gathering or other interested peeps around me for that matter.
