Anybody check this guy's gallery out yet? He's done his take on a lot of KOF concept ideas, and the results make me wish this guy worked at/with SNKp.

its times like this where i wish i didn't suck at drawing

metaphysics

as far as concepts go they're pretty cool, and different, going a little more towards BlazeBlu, Guilty Gear designs. my favorite is the Eiji one. I just love ninjas lol

but as far as rendering goes, definitely not my cup of tea, the construction of the faces seem really off and odd looking. the proportions don't match up on some of the characters, I think he went a little too far with his creative license. I prefer something closer to the actual human form.

Rugal's legs are hella long lol

Lucky, Foxy, Heavy D and Andy are actually very good re designs, even though it helps that their original designs are really boring

And why some of them are using katanas, lol

But yeah, overall all hate all those designs for a KOF, hell, I don't even see them as good designs for blazblue

They look very falcoon-ish imo

The Fluke

Shapes, proportions, facial features etc are a bit odd, quite standard for modern anime/manga i guess but i prefer what snkp has going.

A typical thing that is easy to spot and point out is the very long eyebrows of many of these characters and their often oddly directed faces, i assume that the person who drew these pictures chose to point (as an example) andys face straigth to the side because that is the easiest way to draw a head and requires both less thought and effort than adding just the little bit of angle that could make it look a lot more natural.

It's neither great nor crap but needs more work and effort, though even then, seeing how things are looking i'm quite sure i would prefer snkps style.
