Takuma:
- qcf + D: has autogaurd properties
- qcf + D: can nullify fireballs
- db, f + D: seemed to beat small jumping attacks quite well

Hmmm, very interesting! I'm glad to see him get Autoguard on a regular version of Kyokugen Kohou. Could the ;d , or even ;b version not nullity fireballs before? I always wondered about that.

I wouldn't expect Hien' to beat hops. So it kinda gives Takuma an awkward Anti-Air? Very odd, but cool!

I'm sure that the girl in the background isn't charlotte, i'm 100% sure that the girl is janne from world heroes, this will not be her first time doing a cameo in a kof game

This reminded me that rumour that world heroes characters were originally planned for 94, I never knew if that was true or not, but well, some characters were fun to see, like janne, hanzo and fuuma, mudman, hell, use rasputin as SNKP dan (but please, not make him bottom tier just for the sake of it)

that is definitely charlotte! not only charlotte but her in her Shin Samurai Spirits garb and hair style! she's my girl! ^-^

Aye, and Janne never had Blue as an element of her outfit. She's more of a Black-and-white type of girl.

Yuri:

jump ;c hit box seems change, doesn't really hit anything above her upper body.

I got no love for Kula, so hopefully that means the knockdown hit has trouble hitting grounded opponents.

It makes me wonder this but I really wish they made saiki look like this (the bride one) wouldve been perfect for him instead of having an ash sprite headswap. oh well least their trying to save money for other things for the game i guess =/

I was checking the japanese site from Snk Playmore.
There are some really nice pics of the Story mode, it seems you select a route (Ash, Adelheid or Heidern) and you follow the events prior to the tournament. You can also see characters like Bao, Griffon or Jennet in some pics.

So many cameos... it's getting kinda hard to keep track of them.

Somebody NEEDS to take a suggestion: make a cameo thread for KOF XIII.

To hell with that: make it a cameo thread for every KOF game made!

(Yes, I am aware that not every KOF game has cameos in them)

You really think we need one? I'd figure a thread on the idea would pretty much be

"Hey, did you see ____?"
"Yeah."
"OK, COOL!"

SVB is repeating what was found at EVO and Otakon, just now with an additional pic or 2.

Now, an interesting bit of discussion on the idea, that someone on ON had, is that the cameos from the past (Charlotte, Kagami, Hanzo), are present because Saiki has unsettled the flow of time, and it's causing odd anomalies that are bringing warriors from different times into the time of KoF.

This is a very, very interesting idea, because it would open up console guest characters from pretty much anything SNKP has ever made.

Gen-an could recognize Mai as his bloodline, Eiji and Zantetsu could team up, Hanzo could be stuck with Malin and Nagase, Kagami could test his flames aganist those of the Kusanagi, Kaede and Rock could see they're brothers from related mothers, Shigen could match powered arms VS Maxima...

I don't even know if we should see this as "unlikely" anymore, lol. The amount of Cameo's popping up from random games in these new stages DOES seem to carry a theme... It would be interesting to see DLC story modes dedicated to random SNKP characters clashing with the KoF cast.
