Does KoF have a quick rise mechanic?

I'm more familiar with SF and have found the ability to quick rise a good option to have.  Was wondering if KoF has anything similar.  I'm pretty new, so I have a bunch of seemingly random questions (this being one lol)

AB as you're hitting the floor lets you do a recovery roll, which recovers faster but takes away your throw invincibility on wakeup.

Keep in mind that certain moves (with "hard knockdown" property) don't let you do recovery rolls.

For some reason I interpreted does KOF have mechanics to wake up from the (already grounded) ground faster, much like Tekkan I believe.  You definitely press AB as you're about to fall to the ground on soft knockdowns (I hate borrowing terms from other fighting games lol) like omegaryuji said.

Can you give me an example for hard knockdown  and soft knockdown?

Would a hard knockdowns be sweeps and throws?

Then, soft knockdowns be most EX moves, SRK's/anti-airs?

Command throws and SOME normal throws give a hard knockdown.
Sweeps do NOT give hard knockdown. Most sweeps are cancel-able though.
K's  ;fd ;dn ;df   ;c  > ;fd   ;d followup gives a hard knockdown, can't really be used as a anti air.
