Did you see the Superman animated series? It was great. Sure Superman himself is bland (which DC needs to work out themselves.), but his villains are great. I've always loved Lobo, Luthor and Braniac. Sure, Batman is the easiest to expose, but they've been doing that forever. That's the reason why Marvel has had such a leg up on them because they're not intently focused on their biggest characters and then make them insanely broken every time. (Y'know, Pre-Crisis Superman and Prep-time Batman being seriously stupid) They need to branch out and I'm glad they allowed Green Lantern a chance, hell Wonder Woman is a great character and she barely gets exposure. (Well, the other exposure.)
Only projects I know they're on are USM and Avengers, other than that I'm aloof to it. I was pretty sure the animes, X-men and Fantastic Four have run their courses.
Honestly, as a standalone character, Dr. Strange could hold his own. The thing is they've never really tried and he hardly ever gets cameos. Which is weird because he's a favorite of all the Marvel head honchos. Of course, there's talks about a movie. Which in any case, I think Hugh Laurie would be an awesome choice.
Well again on the Wonder Woman, her rights were all tangled about. Like I said, there was a REASON we had no inklings of her since JLU ended. And yeah, I do like the Supes Rogue Gallery...but again, the Gallery gets a lot better when Supes is surrounded by others. The shades of grey some of them do are a lot better serviced when they interact with someone without the absolute morality of Clark. But again, I believe it's completely obvious that most of DC's cartoons like to coincide with Movie releases. GL got nothing until the Live Action Movie for the most part. It would not surprise me that we get a Supes cartoon not too long after his movie, but I'm not clamoring for it.
Yeah, you're right on the things you mentioned, and thank god the animes ended, every one of them other than Iron Man (which was actually pretty solid) was awful. Wolvie and the X-Men got screwed (it was a damn good show for the most part other than the Wolvie-centric eps, but the other eps where everyone got shine made it damn worth it), and Fantastic Four was...eh. IM:Armored Adventures is still going with that classic irregular airing (it's actually not that bad, while Tony being 17 does take away things like Demon in a Bottle, I don't think it's that big of a deal. Hell they already got to Extremis). Hulk: Agents of S.M.A.S.H is on the way (though I think it might also be in the USM universe...so that's doomed to fail), and there's always the Super Hero Squad Show lol. But it's like I said, there's a lot going on, but none of it really is worth mentioning.
Doc Strange could stand alone, but like I said, I think he'd do some good with some build up. Unless his rights have been up in the air, he could get dropped for some Avengers eps. Also, Hugh Laurie as Doc Strange...I could see that. Though it will also be weird.
