Grinding, Dungeons, and Hidden Bosses Galore. RPG Thread
« on: December 16, 2011, 08:04:12 AM »
I got bored, so I made an RPG thread that doesn't involve MMOs.

Go to town.
On 5/26, something that defined a generation shall make its rightful return.  #Toonamisbackbitches.  Prepare yourselves.  Bang.

Well I was hoping to focus on the positive.

And yeah, i'm a bit behind on RPG beating, last one I actually polished off was...KH:BBS.  Would've been Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor but it kicked my ass all around the damn town.

I'm playing "Wizardry; Labyrinth of lost souls"

Lots of grinding. No real bosses yet, but they are supposed to come around. Sweet game for someone who likes dungeon crawling. Difficulty is kind of uneven, some enemies can be really scary.. Others, not at all. Yet that probably just helps the game, it is not supposed to be a free ride.

Otherwise, chrono trigger ftw.

Thinking about getting around to Chrono Trigger...but after not playing it for so long, most of it has been spoiled for me...

Agreed

SMT Devil Survivor was awesome and it did a great job of integrating the elements of the prior SMT games into a SRPG style system, also it's day progression system was nice in how your descions on what to do at a particular time have an actual affect on the story and i'm really looking forward to the sequel.

I like SMT: Devil Survivor...but I'm terrible at Grid Based RPGs...not to mention Monster Collecting Games, so both of them combined...just taunting me.  I'm surprised I made it as far as I did.
