Overlapping commands
« on: May 03, 2012, 05:34:20 AM »
Hello DC forums!

So I've recently started playing KOF and love the game. I just found out about all these command shortcuts which are all awesome, but what do you do when one command covers 2 moves? At the monent I'm messing with Flames Iori and his command grab input is the same as the his dp shortcut. How do you do the one you want?

Thanks all and forgive my noobery.

The only reason you'd want to do EX Iori's DP shortcut is to avoid doing a Super Cancel when trying to do DP into Fireball.  However...that Drive Cancel isn't that useful so it isn't a big deal.

However if you MUST do it, you have to do a perfect DP motion.

Hmmm...ok but when I go for a command grab sometimes it works but sometimes it does the dp! I Just wanna do the command grab, and dp motion for the dp.

Seems like a pretty decent mixup.

Anyway I think it's because you miss the b direction, if you don't want a dp you should also do the move slowly it will avoid it.

Yeah, if  you're missing the command grab, it's because you're not doing the full CG motion.  You're probably missing an input.
