Not really surprising, clearly SNK's focus is the arcade with this game.

They didn't have a booth at TGS.

Probably better they took their time to port it anyways.

SNKP just wants KOF XIII works in arcades this time. I guess they are waiting a little more than with KOF XII to release out the console version.

Its not like SNK will make a killing on the console port anyway, they can take all the time they want.

Hopefully they use that time to locate and fix as many balance issues as possible. In this regard waiting isn't that bad a thing, stuff like Joe's infinity got discovered just recently.

Still curious if they will patch the arcade version for balance or not.

I'm thinking they'll release it late next year. Possibly next summer. My reasoning? Spring will be dominated by MVC3 and Mortal Kombat 9. And there might be either Street Fighter X Tekken, or the new Tekken Tag later on, possibly in the summer.

They need to make money so I think it'll be sooner than that. If its being worked on then summer of 2011 will prolly see the release of KOFIV.

What I don't understand is why they don't announce it. I mean, everybody already knows when BBCS, MK9 and MvC3, even SFxT, will be released. Why this silence? Why don't say "hey, we are going to have console version on spring 2011" or summer, or whatever,  but say something!... Are these kind of things that I really don't understand from SNKP... Wait without knowing any date is really frustrating.

Well, I heard rumors that the president of SNKP stepped down. I'd make a  guess that they're just trying to figure out what the fuck to do now. This just might be the last KOF, who knows. But the president stepping down for a company as small as SNKP is never a good thing.
