No worries at all Kane.

There are very few Japanese top players who openly message out info on the game like he does, so kind of nice to hear what he says.

Nice interview as usual giby. Enjoyed the MOTW analysis you posted recently too - insane matches. (shame you guys aren't goint to the JPN tourney this year!)

Here's a recent one by dune
http://www.elive.pro/en/watch/imHPEBagWRxB
Although I'm only summarizing, posting the link for the visuals since he discusses.

  • his going to evo and preparing a team that would do well in case monitors at evo are laggy (heard that this may be the case)
  • shows his tier list using mmcafe-prof's generator @2:00. The interesting thing is look at how crazily superimposed the chrs are. In general, he still feels the same way about differences in strength in terms of advantages in the reasoning he provided previously, but makes a point of saying that the game is incredibly balanced hence the ridiculously cramped arrangement. (note that karate is not supposed to be strongest, just thrown into the corner until more can be confirmed)
    • someone in the chat links him frionel's tier diagram and dune speculates on frionel's rankings @12:19. Looks like frionel doesn't rank terry high despite others in france supposedly doing so.
    • someone in chat volunteers a match btwn frionel and somone from morocco

KOF XIII Climax: Japan Scene|Week two of Nishinippori Kohaku Battles

With EVO this close and people quite keen on talent just about everywhere, solidshark and I ran a cast to help expose the Japanese scene to DC now that Climax is being taken up in earnest in various locations out here.

Our goal is to get peeps intimate with the players, provide updates on the scene and get everyone familiar with the match format at Nishinippori Versus arcade famous for having done 84 weeks of 2k2UM tourneys touting the best of the best in eastern Japan. 2k2 has finally taken a back seat and it's Climax in the spotlight from this point forward.

Watch Climax matches with us as top players make the transition from the legendary 2k2 game which is now done with it's run. Time for some XIII for real.

We'll see you guys for a follow-up with week 3 Kohaku Climax battles on another cast next week! Yeeeeeeeargh!!

DCR Japan: KOF XIII Climax Kohaku Battles Week #1 (and you thought we were going to forget wk 1)

--We went back and covered the week one battles that we hadn't done yet. Our friend at Nishinippori Versus has not yet uploaded the videos because he was away. Hope to get em by Friday where we'll do week 3 if they're available.

solid, saitsu and I were very pleased and surprised to see some great tech we hadn't run into where we were expecting more bloopers in wk 1 since the crowd out here hasn't been playing XIII between 1.1 and Climax.

Enjoy!

The ON Show 37: Dune | Gunsmith | Haregoro

Gunsmith vs Haregoro... and Haregoro vs Dune :D

(When I watched it yesterday the subtitle originally said Dune Rapes Gunsmith and Haregoro takes sloppy seconds - lolol)
