If you want explanations as to why I placed which NM where, I'll be happy to give you my opinion.

Love EX Iori's for the awesome laugh <3

I personally think Mai, Iori, Saiki, Athena, Kula and Mr. Karate have the best looking Neo Maxes.

Mai (Full screen dive attack that has her flying all over the screen, forming the kanji for 'woman', then huge explosion while she poses. Coolness Factor comes from the posing while in front of an explosion.)

Iori (Gigantic slash with an inhuman grunt. Coolness Factor comes from the red-on-black, which visually implies there being large quantities of blood being shed.)

Saiki (Turn into the boss and perform a massive attack that blackens the entire screen, then turn back. Coolness Factor comes from becoming the freaking boss as well as the transition that takes place when Boss Saiki reverts back to Human Saiki while the black goo washes away from the screen.)

Athena (All the versions of Athena attack. Coolness comes from nostalgia.)

Kula (Both of Kula's 'big sisters' attack the opponent, setting up for her to unleash a mass wave of ice. Coolness comes from the suspension of the opponent in mid-air - the pause that separates Diana & Foxy's attack from Kula's helps build some suspension.)

Mr. Karate (A quick punch followed by a ghostly image and eerie feudal Japanese music before a powerful final smash. Again, the pause between attacks builds suspense.)


Robert, Raiden and Duo Lon's NeoMaxes are the most ridiculous/out of place to me.

Robert (The powerful air-to-ground kick + explosion were good... however, the 'surfing' he performs afterwards is very out of place and just ridiculous.)

Raiden (The powerful haymaker was good... however, the amount of times the opponent spins in mid-air would be ridiculous enough even if it weren't animated so strangely.)

Duo Lon (A bunch of spirits pop out of the ground... there's really no indication that these spirits are actually attacking the opponent aside from the hitsparks. There's just no "Ouch" factor at all.)

Most of the rest are fairly typical and don't really do anything for me. I certainly understand Kyo's, Terry's, Andy's, Maxima's, but they are just too straight-forward to leave any lasting impact.

Ichigeki is so simple yet precise, raiden bomber is cool to see, Goro Earthquake is awesome. the rest of the neomax are almost all the same, a big explosion which will destroy the world and that's it, but I put some of them for coolnes in the S and A tiers

Kim because often some opponent say "few it won't kill" before the last hit and I answer "it will" like a boss when it land hahahahah
Iori because with the SDM before you have the impression the nm does like 500dmg after reduction

B: Hwa far animation, kyo, yuri
