Mr Bakaboy

Of late I've noticed a resurgence in the amount of midwestern players on XBL. I don't know if any stems from UFGT, but. I've played a ton of 4 bar matches this past week.  I still think there is a good chance XIII might end up like 3rd Strike and have a continous flow of players coming and going.
Say it with me now: "Variable input lag BAAAAAAD!!!"

Not really sure what's really happening in the USA scene for KOF, tbh, but I remember when TRB use to get 40+ players and now they're struggling to get 20 participants.

In all fairness, we hit 40 like once or maybe twice.  In the 30s like 4-5 times.  The rest hovered in the 20s and teens depending on time of year.  So if you consider TRB on every week for the last year plus, it's not easy to maintain high numbers every week...

Ah thanks for shedding some light on that. I didn't keep track of the numbers but the times I did tune in to TRB the amount of people that entered KoF was high. I know a lot of people here, myself included, were expecting to see KoF take off after that amazing top 8 at Evo but that didn't seem to pan out.

Ogosho, Koukou, Kaoru, Wuu, Tokido, Mago, Picnic, Kantoku, Sange and Haregoro are officially coming to the EVO this year.

With this the Evo will really be a KOF 13 World Championship.

KoF 4 EVA

Yo that is godlike. Also hate to bring this up again but there is less hope of KOF being on Sunday with SF4 being best of 5 for top 8.

There's an excel sheet floating somewhere with all the Japanese players coming to Evo and what games they are participating in.

If you guys caught the TRB stream last night, Kane317 and TheAnswer were going over all the international players (that they know of) that are coming down to Evo this year. The line up sounds absolutely crazy this year and the pools are going to be concentrated killers. I'm actually kind of glad I'm not competing this year, as this will let me try to record as much of pool play as possible. Plus, I'll actually be able to explore Vegas and get in as much casuals as possible.

From what I can remember of the stream, Kane mentioned there's going to be an exhibition area somewhere. I'm hoping Kane can provide more details about this on the forums because I'm definitely interested.

Whoooo, this is gonna be very interesting! I think Japan is gonna take it.

I can't wait to see all of this go down.

Anyone catch KoFXIII at South East Major? I missed it but I'm reading on twitter that Yao Ren pulled out the EX Iori and Benimaru infinites in tourney matches.

I did, well from what they showed which wasnt a lot..

yep Ren looked amazing he busted out a dp drive cancel to 5 rekkas to a DM..
and with beni he did the lightning loop about 10 times in one go..

this is why Ren is the dark horse to win evo..

for wot its worth even Xian busted out about 2 rekkas in the Iori infinite.. ^^

Yep Ren did very well to win it, he looked nervous and was dropping basic stuff in the final round of the winners final with Tokido. i guess it will help him at evo that he has played through intense matchup situation..

Tokido looked strong and looks to have upped his game from last year.

Xian done good he got 2 reversed OCVs against ET..

And ET didnt seem that great as i have been hearing.. once his Clark was taken out his game seem to fall apart..
