I need some help to grow a kof community in my area.

So there is about five of us in out fighting game community that play KoF 2002 (vanilla). I really want more people to join us and play some friendlies, and maybe start a tournament in our local game shop. Most of the people say that KoF isn't really popular, but I showed them some of the KoF footage from all the EVOs, and yet they still don't believe me. I told them to at least give it a try, but most people are not wanting to play.

Hey man. If you have 5 people in your group that play KOF, then just keep playing collectively amongst yourselves & keep trying to get better. Don't worry too much about about trying to convert people to KOF, just keep playing with the people who ARE interested then the random people who will be interested in trying with come to you.

Make KOF hype and fun with you and the people who are already playing. Keep playing KOF at your local game shop, do some first to 5s or first to 10s or a round robin type tournament with your group. If you could, record your matches with your smartphone or a capture card. Keep practicing, getting better and make it hype even though your numbers are small. Travel out to where other people in Indiana play KOF (if you need help, I'll link them to this thread).

Like I always say about trying to grow your scene: Whomever will, let them come.
Make your small group hype and friendly, and other people will randomly and unexpectedly join you. Just keep playing.
