His flames got taken away, he has nothing to be sadistic, cruel, and insane over anymore.

This is a great opportunity in Norcal this friday! At gamecenter, they are going to be having KoF on freeplay! $5 dollars nets you access to the game. They are head to head cabs and has 10 minute training mode! That is insane! This will be biweekly so get in some practice on fridays! This is a great opportunity in Norcal this friday! I also probably cemented your ability to go back to MvC3 consistently, but maybe that's a good...thing? Anyway, trying to shore up KoF there so if we get 5-6 people to go, that'd be great. If we get more, that'd be even better!

Come ooooon! It's just 5 dollars! It's a good scoop!

---

Just a quick reminder (Sorry for the double-post!) Fixed double post -Kane317

KoF XIII is 5 dollars for the whole six hour period at GameCenter.
Ranbats at Southtown Arcade are this Sunday so don't miss out! Show up before one because they've been starting earlier!

Hey Reiki, good stuff from the Ranbats as usual.

With a smaller tourney turnout, have you considered other tournament styles which are equally appealing if not more so in small numbers?  Round-Robin;  a Swiss style tourney; or even a FIFA world cup style (like seen recently in Take All Comers), where people play 4-5 people in their pool and then the top 8 play a single elimination (this ensures everyone gets to play 4 games each and the pool system helps accommodate late comers *cough* HaxMurderer *cough*).

We're currently discussing it ourselves which one we want to use for SCR.  Naturally, if the entry number is too high (which it most likely is going to be), we're going to have to use double elimination for time sake.  I really like the World Cup style due to it's flexibility and we everyone gets to play more matches.

Mhh, it's not exactly fair to participants who aren't aware of what they're getting into. It would mean a longer tournament and more fighting which isn't bad, but if we change the system mid-season, they might feel they're being given extra work to get where they're going. Not only that, I have no idea how the arcade would accept it.

I could see Swiss working out into single elimination as that's what I'm used to running, but it just seems really...tough on the players. I'd have to think it over or possibly try that somewhere else if that's the case. With Friday nights at GameCenter gaining some traction, it might be a good opportunity to bring some competition that way. Maybe.

Thank you for the ideas!
