So, since we were talking about improving, I feel we should be trying new things out. If we man a machine and another person from our group wants to play, we should spend atleast a game seeing if some of the theoretical stuff we've been working on actually works. Learning new combos is a part of that, but I mean learning different ways to approach the game. Like for example, some Terry players are developing a guard crush tactic to make use of his crackshoot frame trap. That's not new, but it's something to consider instead of fishing for combos or throwing fireballs for neutral game.
For me, I have some ideas and develop them, but I usually stick to my patterns I know works until I see it work in some instance. Then I develop confidence in that option. There's plenty we haven't tried yet with our characters that could be useful to branch out into that if given an option to try out against another human, we could do it.
With SCR coming up, the competition we're going to face is well and beyond where we're at right now. I think this is the time to break out of the norm and try new things so we're not as susceptible to higher level players.
