It was a great tournament and gives me a bit to think about in terms of switching my strategy up. Anyway, here are a number of things I'd like to mention/remind everyone of:
Socal Regionals is in 4 weeks. This is not the time to be shrimping or being flaky. If you're going and you need a ride, NCI is organizing things if you're an attendee and so are we. If you're looking for a room, there are people who are having rooms too. Asking and hob-nobbing is important. We do need drivers and more activity about room space! Please post if you can drive or if you need a car. Rental car prices can be split amongst a lot of you (especially if you get like a van). Here is the link to the facebook event. We have 15+ people who want or are planning on going!
There are special events (likely) at GameCenter and Southtown Arcade for the release of Console. If you're in the area of either of those arcades, you should probably stop by. Southtown arcade's event starts at 6 and a great deal of "things" will be planned. Maybe even a stream!
An idea that's been kicked around and is now confirmed: We'll try to do Norcal vs. Socal ranbats using the system at STA. Even though it's more comfortable at someone's house or your own home, this gives us the opportunity to stream all the matches like we usually do. Organization and start date of this online tourny will be on some other date, but I feel this will be a big test of netcode as well as being freckin' fun to try!
