Not new the fighting games but still a bit new to KOF. My question is, where's the frame data? when I'm jumping in trying to poke my opponent I'm having difficulty stopping players from mashing crouching light kicks. I'm trying things short hops to keep the pressure, but I'm wondering wheres the frame data so I can work on creating frame traps?

As far as i know there is none, it took maybe two years or so for decent framedata to appear for 13 so you may have to wait.

Jump ins don't generally have as much stun as they do in sf so you have to hit relatively late during your jumps in most kofs. It feels different from character to character in 14 but for alot of characters it's more lenient than in 13 actually.

Your light normals will generally range from 0 to +2 on block so try to find lights that link into heavies, they'll obviously be good frametraps and if you can't find any then try out what works with "1 guard jump" in training mode.

In 13 almost all normals had 2 frames of hitstun more than blockstun. It feels like it's going to hold up in 14 aswell.

You can use the 1 Guard Jump option to see who recovers first to get an estimate on the frame data.

Is the region setting in your online profile forcibly tied to your PSN account region? My main PSN account is Japanese, my region is reported as Japanese in my in-game online profile and there's seemingly no way to change it.

Okay, I finally got the game yesterday. Seems fun, timings are less strict than in XIII, but still kinda strict. Seems responsive, fun to play on arcade stick, although I still suck with it.

If I have to form my team based on first three character I managed to trials, it would be Zarina, Love Heart and Xanadu.
"Look, game over. Beat it, or I'll boot you into space!"

Try to time you jumping attack once the character starts to descend from the jump. The issue with this is you will lose air - to - air. So you have to take a risk. That's one thing that makes KOF so fun, but tough at the same time

So I think most of us knew that there are character specific combos against the big bodies and the small characters. But turns out there seems to be a 4th class.
It seems that the shorter characters have marginally smaller hitboxes.
It isn't as big a difference as the small characters, but they affect some characters, such as Meitenkun.
These characters include
Mian
Meitenkun
Gang-Il
Nakoruru
MuiMui
Athena
Kensou
Yuri
So please keep this in mind for testing.
