Okay, I did some reading around and maybe I'm wrong but I don't care since I can get Aragami from lows!  Damn, those trails are awesome.
KOF XIII:
-K'/EX Kyo/EX Iori
-K'/Andy/Kyo
-Benimaru(Duo Lon)/Robert/Takuma(Iori)

Might controls everything.

The effects on Mu Shiki look awesome. Glad he has that move back, for me that was Kyo's coolest super in any game, and rightfully so.

Except if I'm not mistaken, Normal Kyo can't cancel the second hit, hence the need to cancel it early, and since they don't reference the second hit at all, it would elude to the entire normal being uncancellable.

That would make sense because that is how it was in 2k2.

The advantage he has in this game though is that he can actually combo his rekkas after light punches/kicks.

Speaking of light punches and kicks, it's possible that his standing close B still hits low. :)
Plus the fact that you can link it into cr.B, B, st.B > Aragami anyway....

King of Fighters XIII: Elisabeth Trials

So, after looking at Liz's trial, I feel like they had to pick the most insane combos. I'll have problems doing low B's activate HD mode >.<

Could be. Of course, given that we now know this:

Holy! So Kyo's actually fast enough now to link Aragami into a light attack ;o

I don't think it matters much anymore, lol.
It's great to see these EX characters getting new tricks. They could have easily been lazy cut-and-paste jobs, but their buffs are making them whole new versions of classic favorites. This is a good way to give Japan less reason to go back to 2K2UM, and to stick around with KoFXIII... Add Hinako, Nameless, and Bao, and they might just forget the game entirely! XD

Honestly I thought nest kyo will have a hard time hit confirming with the loss of  ;df ;d. Glad to see he's able to hit confirm rekkas with light attacks.
Main team: K, Kyo, Iori(claw)
Secondary team: Ash, Robert, Shen
Third team: Ryo, EX Kyo, EX Iori (my 98 team)

Another thing I like is how SNKP handles presentation in XIII.  Everything is well done.  Like these trials.  If you don't know what I mean:  If you've seen or played MVC3 and it's Mission Mode, the combos are to the left and scroll down.  So you have no idea what's coming up in some combos which is bad enough already.  The foul icing on the foul cake is that NOTHING is in command input notation.  It's by command name. Extremely stupid. Especially when dealing with characters who have a lot of moves. Here you can see everything you do need to see so there's no confusion at all.  As it should be.

Besides, never got the allure of Nameless anyway.

While these may be foolish questions, I need to clear my curiousity:

1.) Are Mr. Karate and NESTS kyo actually available for public consumption right now? or is all this footage only from the ppl that have hacked the game?

2.) If they are publicly available, how much are they?

3.) Is there anything else in the game that requires outside purchase (aka. DLC)? If so, how much?

I ask because i'm getting my copy tomorrow and I don't want to expect more than what is available.

I'd rather have Lin and Xiang Fei myself ;) But yeah, I'm very happy with what we have now!
It'd be hard not to be with smiling meatbunhead yuri giving me a thumbs up, lol.

Much agreed. There's a great amount of refinement to what's in the game, and it's really appreciated.

Besides, never got the allure of Nameless anyway.

His normals and combos are entirely unique (between he and K9999 anyway), he's a beast for HD mode, and he has a moveset that does very well at being useful close and far-ranged. Personally, I really like his theme too. I don't play him, but I find it easy to see why many others would like to. I think he's very similiar to how Shen is in XIII; the Go-To HD mode character.

1> Nope. Even Iori isn't available till the 7th of DEC. These guys have early access... somehow.
2> We're assuming they'll be the same price as Iori: 4.99 PSN, 400 MSP 360.
3. The only hinted at outside purchase stuff so far, other than these 3 characters, is unlocks for colors, gallery, etc. Atlus also mentioned some console themes and such, too, that should be released alongside the game.

That's pretty much all we know so far.
