I don't get the hate on shadow because besides THAT game, he is a very good character IMO, specially on the dreamcast games

Plus that video with live and learn really sold the game for me

It's probably because in essence, after SA2, Shadow took over the spot that used to be reserved for Knuckles.

I never liked knuckles that much, but well, maybe is just me

Still, this game should only had Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Shadow, the rest of the shitty friends should just dissapear

The 3d parts will be based on sonic colors right? I had never played it but I had heard that colors is maybe the best sonic 3d game ever. In unleashed I liked the sonic parts too, so I'm really hyped for the mix of vintage sonic with modern sonic

It's probably a BIT more towards Unleashed than Colors just because everything is Ring Based rather than Wisp Based.  However they do seem to have taken a more platforming based approach towards 3D ala Colors so that's good.

As for Colors being the best, meh, maybe.  Depends how much you liked the Adventures.

And yeah, you're probably in the minority unfortunately.  I've never been too keen on ANY of Sonic's friends (I don't mind Tails...until he talks) but at the same time I couldn't care less if they're in the game or not, as long as it doesn't affect the game itself.  It's an Anniversary game so it makes sense whether people like it or not.  The biggest problems with the friends usually is the fact that you have to play as them, but that doesn't seem to be the case in this game.

Stardust Speedway and the Metal Sonic fight, although yeah, I'd like a regular stage for that one too.

Also, I know about 25 characters in that image, except only because I was reading about some of them in TV Tropes just last night. (Prior to that, I'd only know like the top row, Shadow, Cream and Rouge).

3DS game though don't look so good (not pictured here).  Normally portables get a pass, but after the stepup in Star Fox 64 3D and Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, no pass allowed.
