Last Blade 2 Final Edition (JP)
« on: October 14, 2010, 07:42:12 PM »
Was wondering about this version, if there was some difference between it and the NA DC version (Last Blade 2: Heart of the Samurai), or even if the PS2 collection version has it.

I believe the US DC version took out all the blood and gore stuff. That's all I remember since I owned the DC version and that's what everyone were mainly complaining about. Never heard any differences between gameplay from both versions.

i was playing lb2 on my cdz last night. with setsuna i finished hibiki in the last round with my power mode sdm (mirror) and hit her while she was in the air. we both hit each other and she died, in the air, falling on her knees, in the air, lol. also was the dc version arcade perfect, cause even the neo cd version was handled porely, there aint even no taunts in the cd version (i like the better quality music, but this is some lazy shit).
In the end, there can only be XIII.

Besides the sound sync issues it's pretty similar to the arcade version. It runs better than the PS2 port at least. I should probably dust off the old DC and give it a test run.

LB is way better than any SS game ever made. mainly because after SS3 the game never really got improved. the work put in lb 1 and 2, if it was put in a completely new SS game it might have been one of if not the best fighter ever. they just kept updating the old and boring ss3 formula with even more bs in future games (4, 5, 5s, t) making the series into the crap it is today. worst part about it is that SS has by far the coolest characters ever in a fighter, it makes ff and sf look like dierea. thats how the the atmosphere in the games wher and how awesome the characters still are to this day. but only the characters till SS64 part 2. after that the game still featured cool characters, but they couldnt live to the hype of the older chars. lb is basically what ss could have been, ss could have been way even more than that. talk about lost potential.
