EDDR, Heavy D! would be amazing. He's such a fun character.
I don't get why Shingo got scrapped. Like, at all. He's obvious comic relief, which every game needs.

I think Aoi might be pretty cool to see again. She was interesting.

Heavy D is indeed very nice and someone i use quite often in 98. He's got an awesome set of tools to work with!

The characters in XIII already lack special intros or any extra animation, so i think that's the main reason why a characters like Shingo got scrapped. To really flesh him out they need to add a truckload of animations to the existing ones. So that's why i hope that when if XIV comes out they will polish the game some more by adding special intros and and funny animations overall to finish the typical KOF feel.

I think Shingo is missing since this is the conclusion of Ash's story. At the end of XI, Iori almost kills Shingo. I'm hoping to see him back in the next game.

Could have sworn I read somewhere that Saiysu took him under his wing for training after XI.

Shingo will will probably return and be re-imagined, wouldn't be surprised if they took away Kyo's rekkas to give him this style of play (Kyo also lost the R.E.D. Kick, which is sort of like Shingo Kick). He did start giving off fire at random during his QCF+P  afterall.

I'd prefer an older, non student version (both Kyo and Iori are more mature looking now).

Actually, Saisyu started training him after 2001.

But yeah, I'd love to see Shingo back, and less of a Kyo-copy. Cool new outfit, cool new moves. Just keep him flame-less.

Note that Shingo is in the background of the Sumo stage of XIII, nursing his still-broken arm. So, he's not forgotten in the least...

Personally, if he were to come back now, I'd like to see him take his version of Kyo's Aragami/Dokugami combos further. I think he's a good reference to "Rekka" Kyo, since that form doesn't exist in XIII.

Shingo's so effective in and of himself; I don't even personally like playing (pre XII and XIII) Kyo, but I love playing Shingo!

There are at least 5 teams which I would love to see, realistically, I don't know if they could only trigger like 1 or 3, but well I will post them anyway

Outlaw Team. Billy/Yamazaki/Blue Mary Those 3 are really cool characters with gameplay aspects that are not present on XIII at all, It will cool to see them on their original outfits since we're going with the reboot thing (well, billy with his FFS outfit, the first one sucked)

Anti Kyokugenryu Team. This must be my favorite concept for a team in a KOF, gave more importance to the AOF characters, and did a good job with the ''comic relief team'' but that could be used as serious players. I will make a twist and made it with Eiji, Todoh (Kasumi is one of my favorite characters, but if friggin hwa jai was revived, I believe that the original jobber from SNK should had make it) and lee pai long. KOF needs more AOF

Assasins team. Here you can put Gato, Oswald and honestly, I don't know who one else, maybe could be used as a good excuse to use nameless, since I like his design and his gameplay will fit well with XIII to just make it dissapear

USA SPORTS TEAM. c'mon, if this was a reboot, they should had appeared, with 98UM their gameplay has been very well polished, and I really want to see more of team

Buriki One Team. though one, I could only think in Gai, Silber, and I don't know, Rob Python?

Female Team. The game needs more womens, with the ending of the ladies team on XIII, I realized that I really wanted to see Hotaru made her official debut on KOF, put there Kasumi and Li Xiangfei and it will be a really cool team for me

At least those are my choices if I could choose, maybe throw vanessa, ramon and seth since they are always a welcome edition, but I don't know, must be hard to select characters in a franchise with so many potential cool characters to choose

maybe, but like I said, gameplay wise I liked them, in 98um Brian was very cool to use, and it seems than in 98umfe lucky was improved, but I could see why some believe that they are retarded

Heavy D! was cool. Lucky was pretty memorable to, and it's nice to see a tall, long-legged man in KoF. Never cared too much for Brian myself, but I could see many finding his gameplay fun, or different.

It was great to play a Black Boxer who wasn't overly violent, a massive womanizer (Like Rob Python would be), loud for the sake of being loud, too stupid, or just there for comic relief.

And Lucky was a nice ref to Hakim from Game of Death, mixed with the actual sport Kareem Abdul Jabar played. Not like any other company tried to base black men off anything but Mike Tyson or Dennis Rodman (in the case of DoA)

I could see them being re-freshed in XIII's style really well. D! would probably become one of my mains...

So what would you change with D? Take off his jacket and let the eagle tat show? Perfectly fine with the shades myself.

Lucky... His 94 design was ugly with that huge jacket. 98 style with the B-Ball uniform wasn't too bad, though. Maybe if they gave him something that was more of a mix of a Karate Gi & Ball Uniform?

If Brian had to come back, I'd mostly just make him J Maximum from World Heroes 2, or at least that'd be one of his colors! The Helmet, plus modified football armor.

Brian is fine, maybe make his outfit more professional, and not one that looked like something that you will costume using the garbage from your trash can


Maybe using the colors from some NFL teams will be cool, give him and standard number, his name on the back, and you will had a very decent design

Lucky was fine with his 98 outfit, maybe something more modern?
