I suppose it's too early to ask for idle team members standing around cheering or booing in the background but it should definitely be on their to-do list.  Adding Billy is a good move, hope there's more to come.

Funny that you mention that, I saw this picture like 2 days ago, really made me wish a Tokyo/Arcade/NeoGeo land stage and seen the characters in the back.

Holy crap that's pretty well made.

Indeed and the sprites look amazing too, I think he basically redrew them.

Since the voices have no impact on gameplay, I'm glad they're skipping out on it. Spend the money more wisely by focusing on netcode. The voice is so minimal in the game they don't add or detract from the experience. Actually, that's not true, the English voices in XII were game-breakingly annoying.

Totally agreed. Even Mai's victory sounds good in the video DarKaoz posted. Too bad, but, they translated "nipponichi" for "that's great"... O_o

Anyway, cool interview. I'm falling in love with Atlus, definitely xD And I'm curious for the announce for european release, SNKP asking this question makes me think it will be by download.

True, also, as a note: KOF XII's English voice acting took place in Tokyo, which explains why SNK couldn't hire actors based in America like before with KOF MI2.

Probably that, or SNK couldn't afford to hire voice actors that are actually based in California.

So Billy has been confirmed as a console exclusive character... it's only a matter of time
before he gets his own thread in the Character Discussion section.

Speaking of that, I would love to see a thread for Saiki and Dark Ash. I know they aren't
playable characters, but I bet they will be in the console port. Also, I'm pretty sure people
have SOMETHING to say about them....

kof doesn't need dubbing. dubbing is one of those things: you either throw truck loads of money at it or you could better skip it.
KoF XIII... Needs more Angel, Vanessa and Blue Mary! ^^

And besides, I think the dubbing was also one of the reasons why Ignition sold XII for truckloads more than what it's supposed to be.

Right now, I'm currently happy with the current setup.

I Lol'd.  Personally, like movies, I feel that the voice should be in the original language (I don't care what it is) and just have English subs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall that XII has english dub on the arcade version, so I don't know if that was a decission from Ignition

Or maybe I'm wrong, or Ignition wanted to had some english dub in the game and SNKP decided to use it on the arcade version

If i'm not misstaken, i've seen the character in the bottom right corner before, and if that is the case then i also believe that i read about said character having been an intended boss character for kofxii. The character style wise does look a bit like ash.. Who knows.

the first is a character they dropped which was originally intended to be on yagami's team. the second is the dropped boss concept.
