In the past I have won a local tournament for 2019 and various minor shindigs for V Special, and have been informally dubbed the best V Special player in Australia by a representative from Orochinagi, among other community figureheads. I have enjoyed VI as a derivative experience from the two entries which I have sunk the most time into, but have been frustrated with the lack of readily-available information which currently exists for an English-speaking audience. Whether or not these credentials are phony, I believe I am qualified to commence a rigorous investigation of VI's differences and inner workings which may be further refined by more-knowledgeable contributors in the near future.

I am currently working on a comprehensive source of information for Samurai Shodown VI, compiling knowledge from Japanese wikis, match videos and my own experience with VI and other Samurai Shodown games. With the advent of VI netplay being feasible via FightCade 2's support of Flycast, I am interested in cataloguing the changes in both characters and systems which set VI apart from other entries, clearing up the fog which currently surrounds the game to perhaps make it more accessible.

Whether or not these credentials are phony, I wish to make a start on outlining an understanding of VI's differences and inner workings which may be further refined by more-knowledgeable contributors in the near future.
