Creeper setups
Creeper ~ Kick comboes into clC on a meaty hit and becomes +4 on block.
Combo | Notes |
---|---|
214AC, 236C, 22K ~ D | Your main Creeper setup, works from grounded hits and after 236D*. It will stop being an auto setup if you do 236BD > 214AC however. |
236BD / 623BD, 66, 22K ~ D | Very important to note on this one that you MUST let the the dash finish before doing Creeper. Canceling the dash will ruin the setup. |
236BD / 623BD, 5/6DRev, 22K ~ D | Corner only alternative to the above setup that replaces the dash with a feint for easier timing. |
236BD > 214AC > 236AC, (2D), 22K ~ D | Looks rather strict but you can input 2D on landing. |
CD, (2D), 22K ~ D | Rev Blow gives him a setup. Best used after combos ending in CD or in the corner when done raw, as a Raw CD outside the corner will leave him in range for only farC. |
Wild Punish 2D, OTG 2D, (2B), 22K ~ D | Sweep HKD setup. |
j.CD, 66 / 5/6DRev, 22K ~ D | Literally the same as 236BD. |
236236A, 236Rev,C , 22K ~ D | Kara canceling into Snipe makes this work, do a dash with 236Rev and then press C. |
236236C, 236C , 22K ~ D | Works the same as 214AC except corner only. |
AB, 22K ~ C | Forward Throw leads into a Creeper Punch meaty. |
Avoid Mine setups
A lot of Creeper setups can be traded for a meaty clB or 2B.
clB is +8~10 on hit and leads to clD > 5/6DRev, clC whilst alo +5~6 on block.
2B is only +7 on hit and +1 on block, however its more reliable overall and a low.
Rev Avoid Mine is the best way to setup, and it usually causes a crossup on top of that.
Combo | Notes |
---|---|
214AC, 236C, 214BD, clB/2B | Reliable as always, but not the most reliable setup this time as you may need to delay the clB.. |
236BD / 623BD, 66 / 5/6DRev, 214BD, clB/2B | Setups that use run will not cause a crossup, such as 236BD. The corner setup with Feint will still crossup. |
236BD > 214AC > 236AC, (2D), 214BD, clB | 2B isn't needed as clB always hits, the most reliable yet also the most expensive setup as you will be using 75% of your gauge in total. |
CD, 66, 66, 66, clB | As funny as it looks, it works. Make sure to let the last dash finish so you get the meaty. Work from a raw and a cancel Rev Blow. |
Wild Punish 2D, OTG 2D, (2B), 214BD, clB/2B | Sweep HKD setup, not as reliable as the Creeper version as you need to wait for 2B to finish. |
j.CD, 66 / 5/6DRev, 214BD, clB/2B | A dash lead into a crossup, whilst a feint keeps it same side usually. |
236236A, 66, 66, 214BD, clB/2B | Wait for each dash to end before doing the next action. Technically works for a Creeper setup but its not reliable. |
AB, 66, clB/2B | Forward Throw leads into a Creeper Punch meaty. |
Defense
Safe jumps
Combo | Notes |
---|---|
214AC, 236C, hop | The Creeper setup can be traded for a safejump. |
236BD > 214AC > 236AC, (2D), hop | The Creeper setup can be traded for a safejump. |
