hey guys, i know it's been forever, and by now i'm behind to the point of being a total scrub once again fml. just wanted to say ggs to all you guys, and good times at AI. once the game comes out on consoles, i'll be sure to pick it back up and try to contend. in the beginning i tried, but in the end the 40 min.+ drive to AI completely destroyed my hopes of being a top KOFXIII player, fml.

but mr. KOF, you say vid 94 has the game? i never found out about this. how much does it cost per game?

25 cents

@Mr.KOF: It seems like you're gonna get your wish. TKO (our Arcade steward) is pretty psyched about an Arcade 98 UM tourney, a high roller one.

I hope you could get in touch with Frionel (I didn't think about the forum registration factor: sleep deprivation...). Anyway, I added his MSN address (just in case...).

@All of you guys: The French KOF-heads are so hyped, the air is buzzing with electricity...
(Insert charge joke here)

I am sorry  to announce that i will not be participating in this event. I was completely overwhelmed when people heard of my interest in participating in this event. Sadly and realistically it all comes down to the prize money. If the possible payout was as great as EVO or SBO i would definitely partake in this event. I'm happy that Europe is strong in the KOF scene...but i'm just waiting for the big Event where we can play all the KOF years and win substantial money. Even if i were to go and to break EVEN would be worth the trip ALONE but that's just not the case right now. As an Adult we all have LIFE and REALITY to deal with. I truly do hope within the year 2011 we can get the ball rolling for the U.S. or for any tournament to hold with BIG money on the line! I swear to god i will quit KOF competitively  if the ball does not roll by 2011! To all the people who do believe in my skills and capabilities...THANK YOU!  Let this quote  stick in your  mind "You're Not the Better Player if you don't have the people on your side to back it up".

So A.I. is closing pretty soon guys, whats the plan? lol, I hope this doesn't mean we won't get to play each other anymore I love playing you guys

Well, here is one thing.....Vid 94 has it along with Arcade Edition(SSF4) Note* button layout is ABCD str8 across......the next place that might have  kof 13 is Alex's arcade near my house.. under the circumstances if the Boss Ken will sell his ride or die cabinet or with the kof12 cab as  Oscar has asked me to talk to the boss.....either way i am not happy because A.I. has always been a part of me.....i don't want to be forced to go to other arcades just to play the game.

KoF has taken over my subconscious, I practice combos in my dreams, play out matches in detail during naps, and constantly visualizing mixup situations, am I the only one that suffers from this lol. my mind is working overtime haha

i do this constantly b4 tournaments for the fans that want to see combos. Also i think of different combos to do to show people  i know more than one combo lolz.

Let me join this "real talk" with Yuhang as another senior (literally lol) member.

Back in 98' I thought I was good until the day I met Ray at GameX and proved me completly wrong, Back in 02' I thought I was good until the day I met RF at EVO and destroyed me.

I am not going to take any credit from Jon, I do think he is the best KOF player in the US at the moment, unfortunally he doesn't have enough competition to take his skills to the next level or international level. I'm sure that next year Jon will get to face a true opponent either from Jap or Mex (don't wanna take any credit from the AI players either) who plays to win and not just for fun.

Jon how good do you think you would be if some how you would be able to play against yourself on a daily basis? I know sounds stupid but it actually is possible unlike here in the US I know that in Mex there are tons of players who have very high skills and they get to play each other on a daily basis. Imagine you vs 10 more Jons waiting to play in one cab, how good would that one Jon who gets a win streak would be?

Miss you guys hope to see you soon...(maybe poker night at my new place :D)

I'm sure I'd win without ease playing with players from other countries who play this on a  competitive level on a daily basis.  I know and understand there are a bunch of players at my level overseas. You can say that I am "Iron Mike Tyson" from back in the day who was a god...it just happened he was fighting in the wrong era.

Either Way thank you guys for your two cents. Let's all play KOF very soon!

* I received the name "Mr.KOF" from the street fighter players.
* According to other fellow U.S. HK players they have said I have surpassed Ray and William in terms of being the best now. I still miss the days of playing with them on a  weekly basis.

I'll add my 2 cents (real talk):

As much as I respect your talents and recognize your skill -- I'm always here to keep you in check (heh), the Mr KOF title has always, will always be, pretentious if you ask me and it doesn't matter who gives it to you, especially players that don't play KOF.

None of the HK/Taiwan players in AI are exceptionally impressive including William and Ray (but they're up there), they're were good in their hay day but I've seen some monster players in HK, (and consider that I've seen and played against Ma'an and Salim among others good players as well).

Don't get me wrong, I *know* where I stand (and that's average at best) and I'm not naive either coz if I had to categorize you, I'll say your play style is very unique, your fundamentals are as solid as they get, you have an uncanny ability to read minds and a lot of times your skill isn't apparent by watching 1 or 2 of your matches alone. =)

Heh.

I know the competition in the U.S. for KOF  is very scarce...but I'm sure i can beat the top players at a 50/50 level if we're both playing at our best. I'm not here to represent a country..I'm trying to win for myself. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and i can appreciate that =P

Apologies for the long wait...

The More, the Merrier! (Who can say no to more competition ^^)

TKO, our Arcade tournaments steward is adding KOF XI to the schedule to spice up the mix.

Friday: 2K2 UM
Saturday: XI
Sunday: XIII (1.1)

@You all: please confirm you presence as soon as you can, it will be easier for us to book the rooms & your name might even end-up on a flyer.

Still dealing with work. Plane ticket and food isn't cheap because i'd be eating good if i were to go lol. Will find out by early January.  Can you  include 98um as well on the lineup? Is there anyone in the french KOF community who has  a comfy couch for me to crash on in case i  stay an extra couple of days? i might want to tour the place and get some games in at the local arcade.

gonna stop by today for a few hours

On a very random note I was doing some thinking, I feel that they way John match-ups in SSIV with the US players would most accurately depict how he would do in KOF in Asia; He'd win games, streaks at times but I believe his exact words were, "too many good players" so it'll be harder to secure a "name" for himself.

My exact words were "there are alot of good players in SF4". Remember i am not playing at a competitive level in SF4. In KOF its not about the win streaks. It's not about championships won. It's about being deemed as the better KOF player OVERALL.

And gg's the other day =P i tried my best to run through everyone because the line was pretty long lol.
