Looks like a straight up GCCD, even used one power stock.

Maybe it was a mistranslation?

Just Defense is also confirmed to be in btw.

Kyo is doing df.D so it must be a gccd. I can't imagine a regular C+D being fast enough to go between those two hits even if you just defend the first one.

People who tested JD and spoke to SNK reps said that JD in XIV only does two things right now:

- reduces guard gauge damage
- builds more meter than regular blocking

They don't know if this will change by the time the game releases but so far that's all JD does. You cannot guard cancel into a special move and don't get any frame advantage.

I kind of hope they tweak things to where JD gives you some frame advantage, at least.
